[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a net that would not harm the fish’s coating prior to release, had a longer handle and was large enough for large trout and smallmouth, but didn’t have a lot of money to spend. This fit the bill perfectly.

Recently purchased two of these online. Rubberized netting and connection to frame good. Badly applied lacquer finish, and dings in wood poorly filled with putty, leave item rating as sub-par. Also, one shipped with a lanyard while the other was missing this feature, causing me to have to go to the store for a replacement lanyard.

Initially I liked this net, but as I soon found out the issue with it was the cheap THIN stretch cord. It's about half the diameter of my old and cheaper net. After 3 or 4 fishing days the cord broke and I lost the entire net. It broke off at the clip. Unfortunately I didn't realize when or where it happened and could not find it. $25 bucks down the river because of a cheap stretch cord attached to an otherwise good landing net. Save your money or replace the cord straight away.

I got this net for bass kayak fishing due the size and it being the only rubber net that was in the store. Great net, and it looks nice, it's just too short and not deep enough for Big bass fishing in a Kayak. I know that it's for trout. I'll keep it for a spare. My main net will be the Ego S2.

It's basic and a touch bulky. For the money it's fine and handles its job.

Very light weight and portable. Doesn't bog you down. Makes releasing fish that are caught easy and safe for the fish. The wide mouth on the net makes landing fish easy. The elastic strap makes it easy to keep the net within easy reach. The rubberized netting cleans up easily so it's not holding onto a fishy odor. A piece of equipment that will carried on every fishing trip.

You get what you pay for, I didn't want to pay $70 for a super nice orvis net - however I wish I could have.

This net worked flawlessly for me, but the clip broke almost instantly when I was trying to release it from the elastic string. Anyways, not a big deal. It's picks up the trout and they don't get tangled when flopping around like others. I will buy again if it ever breaks!!

Net is OK, not bad quality for the money. Very cheap hardware. Metal swivel broke during shipping or handling. Just glad it didn't break in the middle if the river.

Great quality product for a small price tag this has proven to be very durable

I like that the net is tangle-free because of the rubberized coating.

Can not beat the price. I was tired of snagging my net when using 2 fly rigs. This net solves that issue and does not cost an arm and a leg. There is some cloth on the seems which could pose a snagging issue but that has not happened yet.
