Not A "Trunk"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expected a bit more structure to the side of the bag. The only reinforcement to the canvas at all is in the lowest few inches, the rest of the sides are thin fabric all the way down to the rigid back plate. The fabric materials and zippers are all first rate. I think they put too much emphasis on the bag being collapsible for storage rather than protection when in actually in use, which is a shame.

Packed for Iceland, so this included extra boots, heavy jacket, long johns, rain gear, climbing shoes, climbing poles, clothes to hang out in and even pajamas and a bathing suit. No problem whatsoever! the problem was at the airport and being over weight! So had to do some creative repacking. I found the bag to be easy to handle and move around and with several outside handle straps, it is easy to grab it. I saw a day pack in Iceland of same material and color (green) but I thought it was an Eagle Creek product and decided to wait to buy that. Unfortunately the day pack is NOT Eagle Creek and now I cant find the matching day pack...
