Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pop! I bought this bat for my 8 year old a few weeks back. He loves it. Bat has great pop right out of the wrapper. Hopefully 2019 USA bats are a little livelier than 2018 models!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 10u Rec League Review Bought this for my 9 year old whom turns 10 in April. The bat feels great, is very well balanced and doesn't have any sting. However, the bat has a dead sound to it and the ball doesn't jump off it like I would have anticipated. We have hit around 300 balls with it rotating it between swings over the past 2 weeks. Hopefully it gets 'hot' after we get 500+ balls on it. Three star rating due to the lack of anticipated pop. He also has a new Easton Omen and it has much more pop than the Easton Beast Speed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inaccurate Drop Weights I have twin 6 year old boys that play Little League baseball (coach pitch). One twin is 3 inches taller and 12 pounds heavier than his sibling. I bought two separate "Easton Beast Speed" bats for them. Both bats are 27 inches with a 2-5/8 barrel. I bought the drop -11 (16oz) for my smaller twin and the drop -10 (17oz) for my bigger twin. Considering the length of the bats were identical and the weight difference was supposed to be 1oz, I had both boys swing each bat and asked them which felt lighter and which was easier to swing. They both said that the black bat (drop -10) felt lighter. I purchased an ounce scale to kill my curiosity. It turned out that when I weighed them, the drop -10 was 17.5oz (with the wrapper still on). The drop -11 was 17.7oz under the same circumstances. So, the bat that is supposed to be 1 ounce lighter turned out to be .2 ounces heavier. After removing the wrappers, the drop -10 was still .2oz lighter than the drop -11. The total weight of the drop -10 bat was 17.3 oz. Impressive considering it should weigh 17oz. The total weight of the drop -11 was 17.5 oz. That is 1.5 ounces more than it should be. I'm not sure how much the lizard skin grip weighs, or how much the weight of the grip comes into play. I am not sure if this is a quality control issue, whether Easton has the same disparities amongst all of their -10 and -11 Beast Speed bats, or if this is a rare circumstance. Nevertheless, I have my bigger boy using the drop -11 and my smaller boy using the drop -10. With that being said, the bats look great and seem to be of good quality. The bat has great pop and the ball seems to carry further than their other USA certified bats. The eldest twin is able to hit everything into the outfield. My smaller son has a bit of trouble getting the bat around quickly enough to make contact, but when he does make contact, the ball travels well. I bought choke up rings from a popular website and that has helped him maintain control of the bat, and get it around quicker. *Side note, I brought my scale to the sporting good store to weigh the DeMarini Sabotage 27 inch drop -12 (15oz) hoping that it would weigh what it claimed. That would have been great for the little guy. It weighed in at a whopping 18.8oz (with wrapper).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bat for USA players I bought this bat first for the price. I wanted a bat under $200 for my son. I was a little worried that this bat would be like the other USA Big Barrel bats - being end loaded, but the bat is so balanced! It is amazing, my son swings it so hard. We're hitting in a cage right now. I can't wait to see what he does when we get outside. I have told everyone I know to go buy this bat. Best aluminum bat for USA players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top USA bat in the market Greatly improved since last year with stated weights close to actual weight. My son is consistently hitting to the outfield and has developed great confidence. We hope this bat is durable because he will be using it for quite sometime! Has to be one of the best in the USA market. The barrel starts earlier and sweet spot appears larger than the LS Solo we also demoed. Easton is catching up in 2019! Very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A noticeable pop Last year we bought the Rawlings Prodigy for my 8 year old son. A middle of the road Dicks exclusive. I used it every practice to hit ground balls so I know exactly how it feels. It was fine. He had a good year with it. But this bat has a a much better feel to it and the ball jumps off the bat compared to that one. Worth the price if your kid's really into baseball and plays a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MVP player bat! I bought this bat for my 11 years old son. He was using little bit heavy and bit long one before and he was struggling with it. He is small so I decided to get smaller bat and bought this one. After he started using this one, very first game, he did an awesome hit and he got MVP! I am very happy with this bat.
