Do not buy this bat at Dicks and expect to use the protection plan. I bought an Easton ghost in this price range on 5/18/24, followed all of the most conservative instructions for breaking it in, not using in cold weather, etc., and it broke on 5/28/25, days after the 1 year mark for the manufacturer warranty. I thought that I was smart because I had purchased the 2-year protection plan from Dicks which had been sold to me as an easy option for replacing the bat if it broke. After spending the better part of an afternoon on the phone with Dick's customer service, what they're finally telling me is that they don't do anything with the protection plan and that I need to go to insureon.com. That website has absolutely nothing there about making a claim. So I will call the customer service people there during business hours Central time on a weekday. Meanwhile, it's the weekend, my kid is at a softball tournament and doesn't have the bat. Even if we eventually get credit for the price of the bat, I think I will use it for something else. It's not worth the hassle to deal with all of this when the next bat inevitably breaks.
