Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for entry-level player Overall this is a good entry-level bat. My taller 8yr has had this bat for 2 seasons, and the bat is very durable, and can handle any bit of dug out abuse you can throw at it. Does not have the "pop" that some of the more expensive price point bats have, and also seems to have a smaller "sweet" spot when compared to a few of his teammates bats that cost a bit more, but has made him a more comfortable/confident hitter, which is really what its all about anyway. If looking for an ok all around bat that won't set you back a lot of $$, then this would be a good option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Worth the Price This was the first bat I purchased for my then 7-year-old when he started coach pitch last fall. The length was right for him and the drop weight was about right, but it compares very unfavorable against other bats that are just slightly more money. For starters, the fat part of the barrel is very short, I'd say roughly 4-5 inches. If you hold this bat next to the Easton S500 or the Louisville Omaha 517, you'll notice a big difference in this regard. Since my son was just starting, it was very hard to consistently get sweet spot hits, and most hits resulted in the noise made when the ball strikes the skinny part of the bat and created a lot of vibration. Yes, it is an Easton brand bat, so the durability has been fine (haven't used in about 6 months). However, for a little extra money you can get a bat that is a little more generous in the barrel.
