Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent set, except QwikFit snaps too hard. My 8yo son needed new gear and we went with this set since he needed a new bag as well (plus new bats for this season, so the price was appealing). The helmet and chest plate are great. The legs are nice and large and padded well, but, the QwikFit snaps are too difficult. He's unable to snap them into position without adult help and I even have a hard time unsnapping them. Catchers need to be in and out of their gear quickly with minimal help, and that's not happening. We're trying to modify the snaps (all reversible mods) using the hooks and loops form his old gear, but if it doesn't work, we will be looking for new legs. Is it worth it for helmet bag and chest plate for $200? Certainly makes the value less.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great mask but... We bought this for our son for christmas last year. The helmet is great and the pads are nice. The problem is that it's been less than a year old and the latch on one of his leg guards broke and can not be reordered. Now we are buying all new leg guards. We also noticed that when we added his knee saves to the leg guards, the straps were stretched to the max. My son is not a real big kid. He's 9yrs old, 53inchs and weighs 68lbs. A side note, his gear was used all the time by him or his teammates, but again they weren't big kids until he moved up to mustang this fall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reviews are accurate. Qwikfit is junk I had been researching numerous catchers gear sets, and decided on this one based off of price and past experiences with other Easton products. I was a little scared because of the reviews, but figured it couldn't be that bad. First off the gear feels extremely solid and my son moves around freely and easily in it. Putting the shin guards on isn't that hard. They just snap right in. It's the taking them off that is the issue. They're all difficult, but the ones closest to his ankle that is the hardest. Luckily I've been in the dugout with him to help him, but I don't know what I'm going to do when I've gotta work and miss his game. They are simply too hard to remove. Hopefully they'll break in and loosen up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value I bought this for my 9 YO daughter as I wanted her to have her own catchers gear. We practice a lot in the yard and I wanted her to be protected. All products are of good quality and comfortable to wear. While there is more expensive gear out there I think this was a really good set. Loved that it came with a nice big bag and this was a factor in choosing this set over the others I was considering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a great design I bought this set for my 9 year old's birthday. The chest protector is great, the helmet was adequate if not super comfortable, but the leg guards were poorly designed and cheaply made. Rather than having a metal clip to secure the leg guards when strapped on, these have a molded plastic slot / press stud design. It makes the guards harder to put on than they should be, and I would guess that interface is going to wear out over time. I returned them and bought my son another brand which he's much happier with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easton Gear I bought this a few weeks ago for my son. Seems to work well. I never seem to have any points to use when I shop at Dicks and yet I buy all my equipment at Dicks. The rewards program seems like a racket more than a customer benefit. Its starting to get old. I place no value on the Dicks rewards program.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for price My son was excited to find out he would catch many of his little league games bit did not want to wear beat up league gear. This was the best set we found in area sporting good stores. Good value for the money and the back pack was a bonus. May grow out of chest pad before he is 12 buy works well for now at 9. Age listed as 9-12 on pad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good protection I bought one month ago, the only issue is having my son be able to put on and take off by himself. Used it twice and the way it attaches is too hard for him to do. Honestly it takes some effort for me to be able to do as well. May need to return item. It is important for him to be able to get suited up by himself.
