The machine itself is very nice and works well. The software on it tends to gang up and not want to start up. Some days it’s fine some days it takes me an hour to get it to connect. Have no idea why it does this. Overall am pleased with it but a little frustrated.

So Worth It!
Love my Echelon Row-S. I purchased an open-box rower. There was nothing that I could see wrong with it. Works perfectly. I LOVE the large interactive screen and rowing with the trainers. The screen is large for me to see, as opposed to using my I-Pad. The interaction with the trainers makes the rowing time go faster. Having the trainers allows me to focus on my form and to challenge myself. Extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Equipment Great, Subscription Service Not So Much
I can’t say enough about the echelon rower that we have and I would give that five stars by itself. And the reason for the two star deduction is the change in app/subscription service. A couple years ago you had to pay for the live subscription service, which was fine at the time because you could get pre-recorded events/sessions at no cost. Now echelon requires a subscription for both live and pre-recorded sessions. It is too costly to be acceptable.

Regret
It shipped without hardware. Instead of overnight the few bolts it took a week to ship. I was upgraded to the S rower which includes a screen ensuring that you will pay the membership fee. Alas, got my bolts, assembled the rower and the display won’t update - it is nine versions behind. Not sure how long it will take them to send a new one. ????

Disappointed
I am surprised at the difficulty with getting the row-s machine to connect to my wifi, update the firmware, and then load an on demand workout. I have spent several hours trying to research FAQ pages, videos online, as well as other social media channels and nothing is helpful. I haven't been able to use my machine for the month I have had the subscription. I love my bike and haven't ever had any difficulty with any part of it. I am just floored that we aren't able to get it to work.

Do Not Buy This Machiine. Will Stop Working Unless You Pay.
So u want to watch a little netflix while u row. Nope this product does not allow. Yes u can factory reset it and hit more and tap 5x in the lower right to change apps but rowing resistance ONLY works in the app. The controller resistance buttons should have been paired with the machine. So unless u continue to shell out $40/month this product is worthless and they did this intentionally. You have no choice with this machine.
