Rated 5 out of 5 by from A kayak, paddleboard, and dock--all in one! I bought one of these and my kids (10 and 12) tried it out. I'm just 120 lbs, so it works for me, too! We all loved it and I was able to find 2 more in stores. We've been to local lakes 3 times now, and the kids can use it as a paddleboard, and also like a dock, to jump off of and easily climb back onto, thanks to the sloping back. we can all also easily carry our own kayak, weighing just 20 lbs, and I can fit all 3 in the back of my minivan with room for my daughter up front in the passenger seat, and my son behind me, and the other seats lowered. So convenient, manageable, and fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kids kayak! This is my daughter's first kayak and I have to say, I wasn't expecting her to be able to paddle very far before needing a tow. At five years old, she paddled over a mile on a large lake with a lunch and fishing stop half way through! This is actually the second one of these I have purchased, this one is for her six year old cousin's birthday so we can all go paddling this summer. Great first kayak for kids and very reasonable price :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design for kids! We got this for my 8-year old son and the first time out he was able to easily handle it, including using as a SUP. When he fell off, the design on the back allowed him to quickly pull himself back on with no problem. It's just light enough that he can even drag it to the water on his own if he wants. One accidental design feature is the holes near the seat intended for escape of water have been useful for him to place his fishing pole as he waits for the fish to bite! Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandkids love it! I bought one of these kayaks last fall, and my grandsons love it! One of them was still a couple months shy of 5-years-old, and he had no problem paddling around the lake like a pro his first time out. (Granted, he is somewhat athletic and confident for his age.) His older brother, who just turned 8, was also comfortable on it, as was their 9-year-old cousin. (He can also man my Pelican Trailblazer 100 with no trouble.) It hasn't been hot enough yet to try the feature in the back of this model for access onto the kayak out of the water, but I suspect it will be enjoyed by all. It is also light enough for me to tow them behind my kayak, if/when they get too tired, and, as a 66-year-old woman, I'm no spring chicken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids Love It! Got two of these so the kids can kayak around the channel at our lake. They both love them. They're easy for the kids to maneuver and if they fall off or tip over, the kids can get back up using the hand holds on the back. The paddles float in case the kids drop them in the water. The kayaks are light enough that my 50 lb. kid can pull it through the yard and out to the channel on his own. Great investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little starter kayak for kids. I bought my first kayak a couple of months ago and couldn't get my kids out of it. So I decided to buy one of these for them to use. My kids immediately compared my $200 kayak to this one, and they both like the adult kayak better. That said, I took my 10 year old daughter out on a major river and she was able to paddle about 2.5 miles without problem, if the gusty winds were't blowing. This kayak does not track well, but I didn't expect it to. Being that you can buy a "real" full size kayak for $150-$200, the $109 price point feels a little high. I think this would be fair at $79-$89 range. I had a 20% off coupon, so helped get it down around $95 out the door. I highly appreciate the fact it comes with a paddle. It's a great addition to bring a child with me to get some exercise. I love that it hardly takes any room in the garage and it's small enough to fit inside my van or SUV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best lil adventure mover ever!! I bought this for my just about six year old. He loves it!! We tried it out in our pool so he could get the feel of it. We tried rocking it. We had him practice getting on and off. This kayak is very stable. Next we took him on an over two our river cruise. He did fabulous never complained. We bought him the green. It's bright and he has room to grow. We love the feature on the back the handles to pull themselves up on the knee board part. Our son is very tall for his age he is 4'4'' and 75lbs to get an idea of how big this really is.
