I bought these spotter arms because I knew I needed some extra safety to start moving some heavy weight, and my wife had also started working out with my consistently and I wanted her and anyone else in my family to have the safest experience possible. I'm not a very big guy, only 160-165ish pounds, but that's up from 140 and thankfully it's what I would consider good weight. Anyways, I was working on benching 190 the other after some other hard movements and one of my wrists gave out. Before I knew what happened, the bar had slammed down on the spotter arms somewhere above my chest, and while I (and my wife) were pretty shaken, I'm physically fine and learned multiple valuable lessons. If you purchased the wall rack, you need to get these spotter arms. It's kind of crazy that they don't come with it, but I'm not about to put a price on being alive to write this review.
