Well-built And Right-priced

I am a retired soldier navigating staying healthy despite all the injuries from 20+ years of service. To that end, I've had to stop doing barbell deadlifts because of lower back injuries. I can do kettlebell and dumbbell so I wanted to get a trap bar for heavier lifts that still protected my back. The Ethos open trap bar is great for a variety of reasons. 1. The built-in jack-stands are a back-saver when it comes to loading and unloading the bar. 2. The grips have just the right knurling to allow me to hold on without grinding my hands to bits. 3. The open design means I can do much more than is possible with a hexagonal or closed trap bar. I do lunges, farmers carries, and even used it as a yoke. The price is great. Assembly was easy. Everything feels sturdy and like it will last. 10/10, highly recommend.

Love This Bar!

Excellent bar. Perfectly balanced and extremely rigid. This bar feels as solid as any Olympic trap bar. I have had 4 plates on each side (360 additional lbs total) and detect no flex whatsoever. Loading plates is fast and easy with the built-in feet. This bar arrives in three main sections - the feet, grips, and the bars. The preassembled grip sections of my bar were not tightened enough and the grips spun. I needed to use the included Allen wrenches to really tighten down on both sides of the grip simultaneously and now they don't budge.

Please Don't Buy This.

Very disappointed in this bar. For something with 1,000lb weight capacity you would expect clean & gap free welds and handles that don't spin..... This is merely an expensive grip training tool that ETHOS pretends is a quality trap bar. Not ideal for heavy lifting, farmers carries, weighted plyometrics, or anything a trap bar is used for as the spinning handles will be the limiting factor in most movement patterns. Wish my store would've had this in-stock so I could try before buying.
