Great Rower, Just Like A Concept 2

Bought the tower for my home gym. Assembly was super simple. The Bluetooth connection to peloton app is a great feature.

Alsmost As Much As Concept 2, But Not As Good

I hopped on this rowing machine at a Dick's Sporting Goods. It caught my eye because it looks exactly like a Concept 2 RowErg(Model D). I rowed for about a minute. The handle did not retract well, the rail was not smooth (I madie sure it was clean). Overall, not a great experience. The sale price at the time of checking it out was $800. If it was half the price of a Concept 2, I could maybe see it, but at that price, just spend the extra $150 and get the Concept 2 or hold out for a used one. My 15 year old model d rowed smoother than this thing.

Just As Good If Not Better Than Concept Ii

Super comfortable seat, secure handle-holder, and smooth seat sliding action. Amazing price point too. Device holder attachment is awesome for watching shows/movies on mobile devices!

Full Body Workout

This was very easy to put together after purchase, and I love that you can separate it in middle into 2 sections for easy storage. It slides smooth and with 10 levels of resistance I am encouraged to make way up to level 10!

Feels Great

Pull bar feels like high quality, concerned though about quality of foot rest plastic, will they break.

Great Rower And High Quality!

One feature I didn't know prior to getting but really like is that you can adjust the feet to fit your shoe size! So after its fitted it gives a really nice and secure fit!

Easy To Assemble

Easy to assemble and easy to use. Glide smooth. I like the chain pulley system.

Excellent Rower

We bought this to start rowing (instead of cycling), so although we're "beginners", we come from a lifetime of exercise. It's an excellent rower that's a direct comparable to the Concept2 (think clone). The rower itself is perfect. The only element that could be improved is the computer/display. The data a rower wants altogether during a workout is spread across two screen modes, but it's not a large issue since one display mode shows the most used basic data. The Concept2 computer/display is far more evolved/refined, but the Ethos display lacks nothing important (although I will never know why folks want to see calories since that metric cannot be accurate unless it takes into account body factors outside the computer's data). (In all fairness to the reader here, I'm not convinced the power/watts metric is fully accurate but hopefully I'm just wrong on this.) I hope Dick's guides improvements in the computer/display going forward. I'd even be willing to upgrade the computer someday if new versions are released with more refined sophistication - the machine is really worthy of further improvement work.

Won’t Count Metrics Besides Distance

Quality of rower itself is good. The only metrics ours will measure is distance, everything else stays at 0. Connects successfully to the external apps (Peloton, Kinomap) but doesn’t share metrics because rower itself isn’t recording the data. Should be an easy trouble shooting fix but finding customer support for ETHOS is impossible. Called the customer service line in manual which is standard Dicks customer service. Lady must’ve googled ETHOS & told me to call that number because the number she gave me was ETHOS life insurance……
