I purchased the medium bands to try out. What I found was that when added to my bar on my weight rack, the bands adds resistance to a greater range of motion. I'vw since our based the light, Medium and Heavy in pairs and found that they are an amazing add to my bar in my weight training. I thought these bands were gimmickie, and that's not to say they aren't, but definitely not what I'm using them for. I suffer from far less joint pain after workouts and have been lifting heavier since adding the bands. I highly recommend adding these to your power training.
