Copper Canyon LX 4 makes an excellent case that car camping comfort can occur.

I love the height and room in this tent to be able to change and move around in, I camped in pouring rain and the rain fly kept everything dry. The windows having hooks instead of zippers makes them really easy to crack open for more air flow but staying dry. The only drawback I found was when I had a very windy night and the tent lifted several times, I will purchase larger stakes to hold it down if I go to a windy area again. The tent is very easy to set up for one person, the rain fly would be easier to put on before the side poles but I was still able to get it on after the tent was set up. There are several clips and hooks throughout the tent so I hung some led light strings and a lantern with no problem. I would highly recommend this tent for camping!

Love the tent! I’ve had the tent two years - it’s rained, we stayed very dry; it snowed, the tent stayed standing, 50mph winds, the tents leaned in until I tied it out. All poles survived. Only breakage is one of the corner pole holders. It still works for now, but I need to check on replacement.

Fits my family of 3 + 2 dogs and allll the stuff. Heavy so don't plan on hauling it too far! We took it out on a 4-night canoe trip where it rained every. dang. night... and we stayed dry! Note that we had a ground tarp down which this does not come with and I would highly recommend! I set this up by myself easily first time, even in the wind! We must have used it like X20 times this past summer. Love!

We’ve camped this tent 4 times, most recently on the shore of Lake Michigan through a fall thunderstorm up in petosky. The rain fly porch pole bent in half and the fly acted like a sail, funneling air up into the top of the vented tent and down onto us. Needless to say it was fridgid. Previously we had only used this tent for spring and summer dry camping/light rain shower and it worked flawlessly. Certainly a good tent for non inclement weather due to its height and ease of setup/tear down.

Overall this is not a bad tent, it provides plenty of head room, I'm 6 foot 2 and had more than enough clearance to stand up and spread out. I did like how the the rain fly extended about a foot an a half over the door for those rainy days. Could you sleep 4 people in this tent? Yes, but it will be tight and gear will be limited. This is perfect for two people and can easily have there gear in there. Storage, it does come with a bag with a carry strap, I'd rather see it a full zip up and close design and have two handles that come together to carry with and a strap. I was a little disappointed to see that they only gave you a cheap ribbon to tie your tent together when putting it away. I will be trading that out for velcro straps. This tent does not come with its own ground tarp and will need to he purchased separately. Set up, this is not a 1 man / 5 min Set up tent. It took me a while to set the tent by myself the roof went fine but when you got the 4 side pulls it was a battle to get them in. If you have a partner that can help I suspect it will go up much easier. The rain fly was easily able to be placed on top and strapped down, for those really windy day there are 4 guidelines that can be used for extra support. Takedown, keep in mind to take this down with windows down!!! Once you unstake this tent the wind will take it! Again overall not a bad tent happy with getting it, excited to hit the camp grounds with it.

Used the tent for the first time over the weekend. Set up is super easy as well as break down. Slept 2 adults and 2 kids with no problem. However, if I had to do it over again, I'd personally go with the 6 person for a little extra wiggle room and storage space for dry gear. Other than that, was perfect. I'd also recommend an exterior door mat to wipe shoes off before entering. Not much space to move around in it without stepping all over your sleeping area. May just go bigger and use this one as an annex or kids quarters on the next trip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally used this tent, purchased since my previous tent was far too short and small for my 6'2" boyfriend plus my dog and this did the trick! I didn't see instructions on the gear shelf that seems to be implied by the list of items included. It seems durable, spacious and easy to set up. My complaints would be the same as for most tents I have encountered - I need pockets to put in my small items and keep things organized. The tent is also a bit noisy with a slight breeze with all of the windows with curtains. Overall, it did what I needed it too and I look forward to using it many more times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used this tent twice. The last trip we even had some pretty heavy rain two nights. NO leaks! I am 5' 5" and my fiancé is 6'. We sleep on a double inflatable mattress in this tent with plenty of room for clothes and gear for the week. Two people make for easier set up, but it could be done by one person. Highly recommend this tent!

It’s really easy to set up and take down. I love that it has room for my Queen air bed and all my stuff. I needed a tent I could stand up in. This is the perfect tent for me!

Got this tent as a companion to my 4 year old Copper Canyon 6, same impressive design. This updated version is even nicer , with the awning over the door and great clip design. Set it up alone in a wind, just to see if I could, went great can't wait to use it in 2 weeks. I got the LX4 because I am going to be doing more solo camping since I am retired now!

Overall I like the tent but after my third use, the shock cord tent pole elastic broke when on the ground and pulling the pole out of the roof tent sleeve. I wasn't pulling hard on it. I store my tent and camping equipment inside my house in a closet. Was shocked that after only 3 times, something broke. Never had that happened to me before. Now I have to order a repair kit. Who has the time for that?

My husband and I recently decided that rather than make the jump to a utility tent trailer, we'd instead buy a cabin style tent so that we could use camp cots and stand up inside. My husband is 6 foot and hates bending over and the arthritis in my knees makes getting up off the ground hard. I can say now that buying this tent was the best decision that we've made this years. We've had two trips with the tent now and I have to say that it's been a game changer for us. We are so comfortable in our tent and have enough room to use our cots, store our clothes, and even put kitchen kitchen boxes in the tent while we're out and about. Everything is laid out well, and the tent is sturdy and ventilates well. We can easily set it up with two people. It isn't a backpacking tent, but it isn't ridiculously heavy either and the poles seem strong. I'm pleased with the quality of the tent for what we paid. Yes, the polyester is a thinner material and nothing like canvas, but so far it holds up fine. I use a footprint because Nevada means sand and rocks, but I don't feel like I have to be extra careful. Despite how it may look, the new style of the window shades works very well, and there is a ton of storage netting spaces. The awning over the front is great for rain and sun protection. Plus, the bag is easy to carry and easy to load. Most tents I've had I struggle to get the tent back inside because the bag isn't big enough to handle how really people break down tents. This one is fantastic - everything fit every time. The only finicky thing is that the door zipper does tend to run over itself/the flap and get stuck if you try to open it with one hand. And getting the second upper pole in place can take some strength/maneuvering. You do need to know that this is a cabin style tent. It catches the wind more than a dome tent and can seem to torque with gusts. I recommend that you use the guy lines on the rain fly if you expect any wind at all, otherwise you'll be hearing the tent twist in the wind a bit overnight and you'll start to worry that something is wrong (we've not had damage at all). But that is not a knock on the quality of this tent - its a trade off to be able to stand up and change your clothes. I don't know of a tent of this style that doesn't have the same issue - even more expensive versions. Also, go ahead and upgrade to beefy tent stakes and buy a mallet - this isn't a tent where you can skip tacking it down and we know that tent stakes that come with tents are flimsy. At every price point.

I bought this tent after replacing my last Eureka tent that went strong for nearly 40 years! This one is very similar, however, I am not used to the need for stakes from the previous model. First night camping out, the flimsy stakes provided uprooted and the tent literally blew away with us in it! Granted, we were on a beach, but seriously..... Second night was much better, no issues. It was super easy to put up which is nice.
