Nice Addition To Your Rain Fly

Worked well securing one end of the shelter with the poles for a sun shade where no trees where available as tie points.

Tarp Pole

Good pole, performed as anticipated. Heavy pole, but much needed

Not As Good As Msr Bungee Folding Pile Style

I bought these are a long backlog wait for the MSR models. I much prefer the MSR style as they fold like tent poles but extent with a spring loaded button. Which is a fool proof robust locking setting for hight in foul weather. Three issues with this model: 1) cheap plastics used, I would have expected a glass reinforced nylon. But the plastic is just cheap and looks to potentially be cold weather brittle. The foot is also just a plastic cap and not rubber. 2) the sticker directly on the pole instructing which way to turn to lock is backwards from function. 3) the upper attachment point is again cheap plastic, but it is hold the pin for a grommet or loop of the tarp. So there will be large forces on this plastic attachment. And they included loops for running guylines. But Normally you would tie the guy line to the pin above the tarp I order to hold the tarp down to the pole. So they added another week point to the plastic cap which would draw a user to setup incorrectly. The pin is also rough to help secure a grommet, but this would be a friction point and damage a webbed loop.

Ha Height Adjustable Poles

Does not stay locked. Too pricey. Top is not made for loops vs. grommets. Even with guidelines it is not stable. Bad investment.

Good Idea For Adjustable Pole

In practice could not get poles to adjust to various heights—only at full opening position which may be too long or too short depending on application. Also, though light weight, poles are bulkier than advertisement pictures indicate.
