Great Kayak But The Customer Service Was Amazing!

Gotten out on the water a few times. Great first kayak. Very stable and pretty quick to learn. The guy that helped me was an all star though. Got me a paddle and pfd that got me and my budget perfectly. I told him what I was looking for and wanted to spend, he got me the best possible setup for what I needed. Stellar!

Work Well In Water

I have wanted this for a while, I like it. Only thing I would improve is the back rest is to low for me to be completely comfortable. It adjusts , but could be a little taller

Amazing Value! Would Buy Again

I am 6'2" and 220lbs, have taken this out two times for a total of 3 hours in it. I used to own some Perception kayaks that were really nice, and this Evoke Angler performs almost identical. It is very stable, tracks well and actually is pretty fast. A huge factor for me was finding a kayak in the 10ft range because I have a short truck bed. I didn't think I would find one like this in that length range that was also very comfortable and stable and super cheap...wow. With the footpedals fully extended I have plenty of leg room and my feet are not jammed at the end. Thinking of buying one for the wife.

I Love This Kayak!

I love this kayak! I have taken this kayak out several times and it has performed so well! I’m 6’1”, 215 pounds and I have plenty of room in it. It’s stability is wonderful. It also tracks pretty darn good too. I use it for fishing and I have a blast with it. For the money you spend on it, what a great kayak that you can customize to your liking. The only con this kayak has is the seat but I bought a GCI canoe seat from dicks that I just throw in and I can be out on the water for several hours comfortably. If you’re a realist and what a solid kayak that is very stable, tough, fishing ready, tracks well and doesn’t break the bank then I highly recommend this kayak. I have no regrets at all! Also with the money I saved that I spent on upgrades to make it to my fishing needs, it still cost less than a $600+ kayak.

Too Everything

I weigh 220 LBS. The Kayak sits a little lower in the water than it would with a lighter paddler. My rowing turns into a side-to-side bow wiggle. These characteristics make the Evoke Trophy too slow to keep up with the other Kayaks in the group. It has two rod holders behind the rower so it is classified as a fishing boat but there is no place to put a bucket or the caught fish. I don't intend to fish so this kayak would be lighter without rod holders. It does go arrow straight when you stop rowing but that only increases the lead of the Kayaks I'm trying to catch up to. A better paint job and a keel would help with curb appeal and speed. For me that's too little, too late. I'm looking for something else.

This model kayak has always been reliable and a quality product. Recently changed names but same exact kayak. We have 6 of these now and would continue to recommend. Always paddles straight and very user friendly even for novice kayakers.

Great Kayak For The Price But Check The Bottom

This Kayak is a nice size and feels comfortable. It tracks well and is very stable in the water. I have not fished with it yet but it looks like it would work well. It would be nice if there was a rod holder on the front so you don't have to grab it from behind you. The bottom of the Kayak is concave which may be why it is so stable in the water. Beware that 4 of the 7 Evoke Kayaks I looked at had the bottom buldging out the other way (convex). Like a bump curving out the wrong way. Mine actually showed up after I purchased it, front and back. Doesn't look like it effects the kayak much in the water. Check you roof rack because this kayak doesn't sit in the same way other kayaks do because of the shape of the bottom.

Water For Days

Finally purchased! So glad I did! Smooth in the water, easy to maneuver.

Poorly Made

Got this curbside pickup. Had to hand sand down very sharp edges around hill where mood was made/cut. The stickers were all peeling off upon purchase. On the second trip out, took it off roof rack to find the very thin cloth seat had peeled off of the plastic bottom. The clasp to adjust the seat broke on third trip. Super deep scratches from normal docking on sand and small gravel that I do with every other kayak but with this one causes major damage, the plastic isn't very hard. The back handle is breaking off after 4th use. Doesn't want to stay streamline. I would not recommend this kayak. The hull is huge and lots of leg/foot room! But that's about the only good thing about this thing. Go pelican or even Wal Mart brands. Very disappointed for the price.
