This thumb guard for catchers fits comfortably inside your glove to help brace and protect your thumb from impact. Built to disperse, not absorb, this EvoShield® guard uses air-activation technology to custom-mold to your thumb and provide a soft and flexible shield.

    Helps But Maybe Wrong Size?

    I bought this 3wks for our son who is breaking in a new catchers mitt. According to the sizing our son being almost 14 should need the Adult size (made sense, we also bought the elbow and leg guard in Adult size & they worked great). Our son was needing the Catcher’s thumb guard bc he’s currently using his teammate’s old mitt that’s well broken in but it was hurting his thumb. We shaped the Adult size thumb guard and he started using it. It said he felt a difference and it seemed to help but after every practice and game, he’d bruise. I reached out to Evoshield wondering if maybe I did something wrong shaping it? They said he should have gotten the child’s size, apparently the adults is too big! Dang! Wish there would have been a printed guide on the box to help determine size. Oh well, guess I’ll go buy another one.
