This SHOULD be amazing, but it's just ...meh. The velcro isn't heavy duty at all and barely stays closed right out of the box. In typical evoshield fashion, the form-to-fit shell is amazing, but the velcro makes this underwhelming, unfortunately. I'll probably have to replace the velcro with a tougher velcro for my son to be able to use this as it's fully intended.

Purchased this back in March for my 12 year old. Were about 20 games into the season and the Velcro already doesn't stick.

it's just some padding with cheap Velcro AllStar is 10 times better

I like everything about this product other than the Velcro part. It just doesn’t work, I struggled to get it to hold even when I first received it. Not worth the price, stick to allstar.

Horrible Velcro design. My son has been using it for less than 9 games and the Velcro already gave out. Not worth the price!!!

The velcro doesn’t last very long. I regret paying more than double the price of the All-Star catcher’s wrist guard. My review would be much better if it weren’t for the velcro which is a shame because it is such an inexpensive fix for the manufacturer.

This is a great addition to my son’s catching gear. Provides really good protection while catching.

For the first 2 tournaments, it was a 5 star wrist guard. But then the Velcro became so bad that it’s now more of a liability than a help. There is no Velcro on one side, only the “hook” side of the Velcro. The fabric itself is expected to be the “loop” side, and that’s a TERRIBLE design. It actually pops off his wrist during a catch. I have a D1 committed catcher catching 90+ regularly and I can’t trust this thing for protection at all. I’m going to try a tailor shop t see if they can sew a “loop” pad on.

Velcro only lasts a few months before becoming useless, only fix is to replace the guard or sow your own velcro on the other side to make it work. On to my sons second and last one, I'll fix this one myself when it fails. The Allstar version lasts a lot longer but harder to find.

I bought this and within a month of using it on a daily basis, the velcro was completely worn down and will not stick at all anymore. Wish this was better, love the other products

Bought this back in April 2021. It was good for most the season, but the Velcro started to fail in mid June. Son started school ball work outs in August and the Velcro has totally failed. Good thing is that it has a 1 year warranty and EvoShield was quick to respond and send out another one. I think they still need a better/stronger Velcro or maybe go to snaps. Son loves the product, just hope this isn't a cycle of fail and return.

I have purchase two of these and the velcro only sticks for about 2 months worth of constant use. The worst product. The velcro part needs to be fixed. If it worked as it should than it would be an amazing product. My son loves it but every pitch it comes undone.

I bought about two months ago haven’t used in a game yet but caught multiple bullpens and is amazing.
