Based on EvoShield’s signature sliding mitt, the Shorty Sliding Mitt 2.0 is modified with a shorter cuff and adjustable wrist strap for easy on and off once you get on base. Take the extra bag with the Shorty Sliding Mitt 2.0’s protective shields, covering each side of the hand. A rubber finger bumper helps prevent jammed fingertips, and channels along the palm and backhand improve mobility to grab the base you just stole.

Shorty Sliding Mitt 2.0: Perfect For Youth Players

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a coach I have not been a fan of sliding mitts but my 11u team kept asking if they could use them. So, we made a deal, win a tournament and they could use them. Well, they did just that, so I had to hold up my end of the bargain. I researched and got my son the shorty mitt and its perfect for youth players. This mitt goes on just like a batting glove quick and easy. By removing the long strap, it decreases the distraction and allows the players to quickly put it on and get their sign from the 3rd base coach plus take their lead. As a coach, if your youth players are asking for sliding mitts, you have to go with the shorty.

Bought this at the request of my 14u son. He loves it! Great size. It’s easy in and off. Dave’s time on the bases as he’s not fumbling with trying to put it on.
