Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing pole for the price A month ago my dad bought me a 6'6 medium moderate fast and I absolutely love this pole it is the best pole I have ever had. It is extremely versatile I can use it for bass, trout, panfish, catfish, and pike. The pole is well put together and is fairly stiff compared to some of the other poles I have owned before but it is still the most sensitive pole that I have. I can use a weightless sinko and I can feel every time I bounce off bottom, brush though weeds, and I can even feel the sinko falling. All around it is a amazing pole and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get a pole that can do all different fishing for a affordable price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme quality and features at bargain prices The entire Fenwick line of rods are very high quality from their low end rods all the way up to their top level. The Eagle line offers real quality at the lowest price point. These rodia feature stainless guides, low weight, and quality grips. They are available in any action or type that you need. I have many...many high quality rods and use the Eagle line for my travel pieces. While as a purist, all of my tournament rods are one piece, this line features many two piece rods that you can put in the trunk or back of the SUV. That way you are ready if the opportunity presents itself to make a few casts! I highly recommend these rods...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUTSTANDING!!!!! I've owned Fenwick Eagle rods for a long, long time. My first one was a M action 5'9" that's still going strong. I also own a couple of ML action rods (6'6"- 7'0) and over the winter I picked up the 7'0 UL model. I have to say I really love this one for trout. I have it paired with an ultra-light reel and 2 lb. test line and it is the sweetest outfit for hitting the rivers and streams ever! It can handle very big fish and even makes stockies feel like a good fight. I couldn't be happier and as long as fenwick keeps making these rods I'll keep buying them, using them and reccommending them. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around rod I had a light action rod of another brand that I was very unhappy with so I replaced it with this seven foot two piece medium fast Fenwick Eagle. This rod handles hook sets much better but the action is still a lot lighter than my other medium fast rods. I can feel a tiny bluegill too small to even catch yet reel in a seventeen inch largemouth bass with no problems. The lighter action and longer length helps me throw those light lures further and makes every fish a blast to reel in. The burl cork handle is great looking and comfortable and the guides handle my braid and the leader knot really well. I really like the deep green color and glossy finish also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable rod that can take abuse! Last May I had snapped a Mitchell rod in half while setting the hook on a bass. I only had the rod for 2 weeks, and I decided to look at different brands while at my local tackle shop. That's when I found my 6'6" Medium-Heavy Fast Fenwick spinning rod. This rod has seen abuse and has not given up. I mainly use it for top water, especially hollow body frogs that I launch into the thickest grass mats and Lilly pad fields, and it has had to haul bass and vegetation in that would have snapped most rods in two and it just gets it done. Cast. Set hook. Reel. It's that simple with this rod! I would highly recommend this rod to anyone that loves using hollow body frogs in thick cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome rod I bought a 7 ft m fenwick eagle paired with a pflueger mentalist 4000 reel with 12 poind Maxima for salmon fishing on the tributaries of the salmon river New York and boy was I ever impressed the rod weight was rated alittle light for the fishing I was doing with it but it held up very very well I caught over 30 salmon in a two week period koho and king salmon anywhere from 18-35lbs and I have to comment on the handle and reel seat they were awesome the burl is not only nice to look at but is extremely comfortable in ur hand for fishing all day long and the reel seat is awesome I love that the threads of the reel seat is hidden so ur fingers are on the burl at all times most definitely a plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenwick 2 Piece Eagle Model No. EA66MH-FS-2 As a precursor to this review, I just recently received this rod and have only fished it a handful of times (large mouth bass/shoreline mostly). It is extremely difficult to find a Medium Heavy 2 piece rod regardless of model and make. I own a sports car and needed a versatile rod that could easily fit in my trunk for spur of the moment fishing as time will permit. I have it matched with a Pfluger President reel Model No. 6940. So far so good. The rod is light but with enough backbone to make it through the vegatation and weeds. I have had NO issues with the pole pulling apart and/or offering any less sensativity than my other 1 piece rods. I would definetely recommend this rod and set up for that matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7' Medium 2 Piece Soars I got this rod and it has grown on me everytime I use it. I've owned St Scroix premiers, Fenwick elite tech bass, Berkley lightning rods. This is by far my favorite all around lure throwing rod. I used to love my Elite Tech, see my review on this site, but it broke rather easily. I was trying to unsnag a 1/4 jig and pulled towards myself & the jig shot out of the snag and hit the Eagle in its blank. I thought it would break but sure enough it hasn't. The action or flex on this rod reminds me of a fly rod but the hook setting leverage is effective. I have not missed a hook set on this rod yet! I would say it is alittle more flexible than the other aforementioned rods but I like it. If you are looking for a stiffer rod then I would get the medium heavy model. The handle is so comfortable and hides all the threads which is important because I have tendon issues in my hands. The burled cork has held up for a year so that's a testement to longevity. The stainless guides are much sturdier than other rods I've tried and transmit vibrations well. I ended up getting the 6'6" travel version also so that's how much I like this rod.The only complaint I have is the line guide alignment out of the factory. I had to look through several rods to fing an acceptable one. All other Fenwick rods are usually perfect so the quality control could use improving. Once you get past that you get a strong and sensitive fishing tool.
