Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive... I wanted a bigger kayak from my pelican trailblazer 10 foot since this is now my second year of recreational kayaking and being hooked. Even though I will not be fishing, I liked the idea of having extra spaces for storage. I've read the other reviews on how this kayak tracks to the left or right and was a little nervous about my purchase since the sale price was the biggest reason I purchased on the spot without reading the reviews first. Let me say that this kayak tracks VERY well, its extremely fast and not too heavy when carrying solo. I would agree with some others that as long as you are not too heavy handed but keeping your strokes even, then this kayak performance is very impressive. This is a keeper, the only thing I would change is to add more cushion because after an hour and a half my backside literally got numb but the next day I just added 2 inch foam and problem was solved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable I have had this yak for 3 years and I love it. three days ago I wrecked my Jeep and it landed on top of this yak. after we removed the Jeep and straightened out my kayak there are no cracks and it is ready to hit the water again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seat cracks I bought this less than a month ago. I took it out for a 5 minute trial run, then last week I used it for approx 4 hrs. I had a cushion on top of the regular seat. I took it out again yesterday and before i got in I noticed the seat developed a crack on the right hand side. That is a bit disappointing. Going to call field and stream. Overall the kayak seems to track well. Seems to move fairly quick. It's very stable.pretty good room. Seat is pretty comfortable.. For fishing I think I would choose the Eagle Talon . I was going to purchase the Talon but bought the run because I got a better deal. But I'm not sure it was worth it. I now have to purchase all the extras you get with the Talon, (rod holder, anchor, anchor trolley) and it's still a sit inside. Dont get me wrong, the kayak seems pretty solid, but not exactly what I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 years and still going strong left a review 4 years ago and thought it worth updating. Bought 2 of these 5 years ago and another 2 for the kids 4 years ago. Still loving them!! We usually use these on 5 or 6 daylong/weekend/weeklong trips a year, mostly on local ponds and lakes. They handle as well as everyone on here says they do. Everything on them has held up really well; hull, seats, footrests, dry box lid gaskets. They get stored indoors over the winter, but stay outside all summer. We don't drag them over too many rocks, so the bottoms are scratched but haven't gotten too banged up at all. Looking forward to several more years of good use. Excellent investment! Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recreational kayak! I bought a few weekends ago on sale at a GREAT price ($200 off list) and took it out for the first time over the weekend. I read a lot of reviews and did research on various kayaks and chose on this one due to the features, value and looks. Just as the reviews read, it track very well even on a slightly windy day, roomy cockpit (i'm 6'2 220) but it could use a better console. The seat was comfortable on a one hours ride, can't comment beyond that. The weight it not too bad but I would not want to have to carry it a long distance. All in all you cannot go wrong for the price. You can also customize to your liking just like anything else, which seems to be what most people do anyway.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor material I bought this kayak about 4-5 years ago. The plastic material it is made of is very poor and easy to puncture during normal heavy use over rocks. If a puncture does occur do not use the plastic rod patch kit Feild & Stream sends u under warranty. Instead pick up an epoxy for plastic. Does the job great. Other than being cheaply made, it's an alright kayak. Not the best but it'll work. Wouldn't say it's worth $550- $600. I got mine on sale at $350.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally I have been looking at this kayak for several years. I was finally able to acquire it and could not be happier. It tracks extremely well and handles like a dream. It is a little narrower than my others but it is fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I got this a week ago and absolutely love it. Lightweight and very stable in the boat ( you can put your drink on the bottom and it won't even tip ). Also this thing tracks like a champ! I bought a smaller one as a secondary kayak that was another brand and have already returned it tomget another one of these. Great kayak all around!
