Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!!! Best way to feel safe getting up a tree to a hang on stand. Read some other reviews and I don't know who would try to put the straps on while you are in the tree. The straps go on when it is fully assembled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was skeptical... ... but bought a second one after I tried out the first. As a climbing aid for a hang-on stand, these are sturdy and easy to assemble. (Please read the instructions and, unlike some, put the straps on before you hoist it up to the tree.... yipes...). My one concern was stacking these and packing them in with my stand to set up. Given their form the stacking isn't ideal and they are a bit heavy but tying them together and securing them to my stand with ratchet straps worked well and the whole set up feels reasonable on my back.... and only will carry in and set up once at beginning of season...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stoutly built but poorly designed I use a variety of stand types and needed a climbing aid for a hang-on stand. These seemed well built (and still seem that way) but they are back in my truck to be returned for a refund. As a long time hunter safety instructor I pay particular attention to the safety aspects of setting up and taking down treestands as a lot of falls occur at these times. To sell a stand that requires repeated two hand manipulation of the strap and the threading pf buckles while in the tree is a lousy decision. These sticks require you to hang from a linesman's belt while threading 5 (yes 5) straps through cam-buckles to secure the climbing sticks. These straps are a perfect example of cost cutting at its worst. The sticks may meet the requirements of the Treestand Manufacturers Association (TMA) but the decision to save a few bucks at the factory with these straps is deplorable. The straps also have to be threaded through narrow slots (which is done on the ground) which prevents you from using a different style strap if desired. The straps should have a loop on the fixed end and either a hook or hook and d-ring on the other end with a ratchet so they can be attached and tightened with one hand and in a few seconds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use I bought these to compliment a F&S hang-on stand. Easy to assemble and use. I have several climbing stands but I think I am now sold on hang-ons because there is no noise getting up/down them in the morning or evening. You can also use a hang-on and these steps in more locations since branches aren't an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I am getting a lil older and screw in steps just aren't doing it anymore. I purchased 3 sets of climbing sticks.Put them up what a world of difference like climbing a set of stairs. So much safer.I ll be able to tree stand hunt another 10 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from noisy! Quality product, but very noisy. I tried everything to eliminate the squeak... nothing works. Cheaper than other expensive brands!
