Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met every expectation. Purchased this boat in September and have been on both rivers and lakes. Very versatile and worth the price, espcially at 30% off. Got it for $270! Dry storage was the selling point for me and so far no leaks. Paddles and tracks fine, considering it's width. Not a racing kayak by any means. Wide, flat beam gives stability, especially when entering and exiting the water. Great for exploring coves, backwaters, and side streams. Floats in less than four inches of water (I weigh about 180). Heavier construction than similar boats but is easily ported one-handed. Adjustable seat is comfortable but a cushion is a good thing. Some reviews metion the foot pegs popping out. I experienced this until I found the proper, comfortable setting for me. Once found, I exerted less pressure on the pegs and haven't had them pop out once. Great choice for anyone who wants more than a typical rec yak but doesn't want to shell out $600+ for an Old Towne or similar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Field & Stream Kayak This would make a great kayak except for one thing. It tracks horribly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid boat for the price This seems to be a solid boat for the price. It is rather heavy for a 10-footer but has a decent weight capacity and a huge cockpit. It is tall in the front for folks with big feet. The sides are sculpted to give good paddling clearance for shorter paddlers. It does have a sealed compartment which is nice for storage and floatation in case you take on water. This is not a fast boat. If you have paddling friends with sea kayaks, they will leave you behind without trying. One footrest was broken when we bought it. Warranty replacements are ordered but they say we won't get them for ten to twelve weeks. Dicks offered to exchange the boat but they didn't have a replacement in stock so we kept this one. Hole spacing for the footrest mounts is different from commonly available aftermarket items so if you buy replacements you will be drilling and sealing holes. Good deal for a one or two season boat to get started in the sport. I know we will be upgrading when budget allows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Kayak I recently purchased this Yak and I'm very pleased with it!! I was looking for something more versatile for both flat and white water..... this one nailed it!! I paddled both types of water in the same day and noticed it tracks better in the river then on the lake. The true dry storage is just that! DRY!! The seat is comfy but could be a little higher in the back. The only thing I really dislike about the Charge are the handles, I'll be switching them out ASAP! Over all though, great Yak!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Kayak Sturdy kayak, nice weight. I loved it and pulled a blow up boat with two children behind me. My only concern is the foot rests inside... they were not sturdy enough for my 300 pound, 6'3" husband. My son and I can use the plastic foot rest inside, but too flimsy for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Field and Stream Charge Kayak Bought this for my wife's birthday and we took it on the water and she loved it. Boat is easy to handle, moves through the water easily, plenty of storage space and room to move around.
