Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size and ventilation I bought this tent on a whim before going on a 5 day trip to the Adirondacks with my girlfriend. We took it out of the packaging for the first time when we set it up at the site. Instructions were simple to follow and we had the tent setup quickly and easily. I'm 6 feet tall and I can very comfortably move around in the tent without having to crouch too much. We fit a queen sized mattress the tent easily with plenty of room for both of us to move around and store our bags. It rained very hard several nights and we never had any water in the tent, even with all windows open. We got the tent on sale, and if you're looking for a large tent this is a must buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not 8 person Got this on 50% off sale back in April. Thought it would be great as I had an advertised 6 person Coleman tent that was a little cramped with 4 of us with cots, plus the zipper did not work anymore. Well this Field and Stream tent is just ok. It is longer so that we have more room between our beds but is is not as wide so the beds in the middle are right up against the door. The zippers are a little wonky. You cannot zip all the way around the door with one zipper. The two zippers meet at the bottom corner and when they do you have to finagle them to get past the covers that are there I guess to keep water out..? Very poor design there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tent looks nice but won’t leave you dry!!! We took this camping and it is not too bad to setup. Having two people definitely helps but I kind of feel that’s expected when you get into larger tents. I did like that they had a little opening in one of the corners that said it’s for a power cord. We actually used it for the hose to our propane heater which was really nice. The first night was a light sprinkle whichbwas no problem. The next day (keep in mind this is our first weekend using this tent) it was a solid rain for about an hour or two. Anything close to the edges were soaking wet and also it was coming from the rain fly. Needless to say we packed it up and sent it back.... Bye Felica!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Large interior, impossible to pack up The tent was great when it came to the space inside. Unfortunately the 6 sets of poles made the setup confusing and time consuming. When it came time to pack up and break camp, the tent had no possible way of folding back up into the bag it came in. The elastic cord that holds two sets of the poles came unraveled so we were left with pole pieces falling all over the place. Normally I use a two person tent for my wife and I. Perhaps we’ll try a four person instead of this eight person for more simplicity. I returned the tent to Dick’s without issue. I enjoy purchasing gear at Dick’s so that return will definitely end up in another tent sale for the store for our needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tent for the price We bought this tent last summer because it was on sale for around $80 and used it three times with no issues. It has plenty of room and can easily accommodate our family of 5 and medium sized dog. I saw some people note they had issues with rain/water getting in the tent. On one of our camping trips we experienced a good amount of rainfall without any getting in the tent and did not notice any leaks. Also, every time we used it, I set it up by myself. Set up takes less than 10 minutes and when the kids are off playing it's a breeze to do. So far I am pleased with the tent and hope to use it a lot more this summer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I bought this tent online and picked it up in store The day after I picked it up from my local store I went camping for the first time. The tent was fairly simple and straight forward to set up, even though it was missing a stake. Unfortunately, as soon as we set it up we could tell it had been used. The floor was covered in leaves and trash, and all the walls and the roof had mud on them. So, I'm giving a mixed review....I like the tent but would have bought a USED tent from a yard sale for fifteen dollars rather than a "new" tent from here for eighty dollars -- but I wanted a NEW tent

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good tent for the price. We just used this for the first time this past weekend. The weather was fantastic except for 45 minutes Saturday night. It was a complete deluge. Not a lot of wind, but torrential rain. We were bone dry inside the tent. In fact, the next day, when we were taking the tent down, I found out that some water was trapped between the tarp and the tent floor - we never noticed. However, I am concerned about the construction of the tent. The morning after the rain, there was a small, about dime-sized puddle next to where one of the orange poles connects to the tent. In fact, all of the seams where the poles connect to the tent seem to be pulling away, and I am concerned whether this would make it past two seasons. Also, while there was no water inside (other than the miniscule puddle), the fly only covers the top and the sides of the tent were soaked. They did not leak, but we also made sure to avoid the sides completely. All in all, a great tent for the price, but I am hesitant to expect it to last much more than a couple of times out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Huge and comfy. Quality issues I bought this to replace my smaller 3 man tent, now that I have some kids. My wife and kids and I took it up for a weekend camp, and it fit a queen size bed, plus my daughters pack and play, plus my son's sleeping pad, with room to spare for playing. Was straightforward to put up, but could not do it solo due to the size. Kept the rain out, but it was not a huge storm. vents seemed like they would keep it cool, but unfortunately the weekend was really cold, so I can't comment on that. Unfortunately, the tent developed problems rapidly. Where one of the side poles attaches to the bottom, it developed a rip. The poles and tent don't seem to be perfectly sized for each other. Some places were overly tight, other places were slack. Also, I noticed the threading coming out on the door near the zipper. For both of these issues to show up on the first weekend was troubling. Perhaps there is a reason this tent is 50% off and way cheaper than the competition.
