I bought the kit to use for my 16ft old town on top of my car.I bought ratchet straps for my tie downs and just used the block. The blocks have ripped on the second use.

You Will Constantly Be Looking Up
I should have listened to my friend and used pool noodles and ratchet straps.at no point during my drive did I feel safe and secure, especially for $50 bucks. The non skid things slid, the straps have a subpar hold design and kept slipping. I would not buy or reccomend anyone to buy this set. Oh, and the blocks don't fit over the rails of a canoe and hold firmly.

Not The Best
Works in a pinch but on the highway the wind will shift the canoe around no matter how hard you tighten it. If possible get a some cross bars.
