Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bye canoe hello Kayak I bought this f&s kayak three weeks ago and use it every weekend so far and love it . Need to change seat like everyone else, but can't complain. Use it in Lemon Bay near Englewood Fl.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great entry level kayak I have been searching for the "right" kayak for some time now and have tested kayaks from Jackson, Wilderness, and Old Town. I actually landed on this F&S kayak because it had everything I was looking for (tri-hull design, built in rod holders, 12' length) at a ridiculously low price (on sale for $399)! I knew that if I didnt like it I would be able to get most if not all my money back out of it. I've had it out on the local resivour twice now and I am impressed. While it is heavy, it tracks well and is stable. I found it easy to manuever and has got a ton of storage space. I'm a big guy, 6'4' 240 and found it comfortable. The only bad thing is the really stinks. On my second trip out I put my Coleman soft side cooler directly behind me for more back support is it was a bit better. I'll figure out an upgrade at a later date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome purchase! My husband and I bought 2 of these kayaks in store at our local Dick's Sporting Good. He bought camo and I bought the blue camo. We came straight home and took them out on the river. They're great! They track well and glide right through the water. Easy to steer and not too heavy to carry back and forth from the river to our truck. The foot pedals are adjustable and it comes with some cool accessories. We love them and can't wait to hit the river some more this summer. Money well spent!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price Purchased one then got additional one (both were on sale for 479) would not pay more. Would be 5 stars but seat and limited ability to modify I gave 4 stars. Put in GTS Seat from Surf to Summit for $145 worth it. My issue is I changed center of gravity by adding an Optima battery, trolling motor and raised seat - flipped in gator infested waters while try to land big fish lost battery and some fishing gear. I was able to upright boat in deep waters and re-enter safely, best kept as a paddle kayak only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak Just purchased my Eagle Talon 120. Shipping took about 10 days before I finally recieved the kayak. Finally had the chance to try it out at one of our local parks, which had canals full of mangroves and open water into Tampa Bay. I'm 6'2" and weigh over 300 lbs and was able to sit right in the kayak without flipping or sinking. My wife and I spent an hour or better paddling around the waterways without any issues. For those who changed out the seat I will be doing the same, it's not bad for about half hour, after that things started getting numb. But I was able to move around a bit to counter this issue and the kayak was solid for me. Going to be hitting the road with our camper and I look forward to taking this kayak with me and hitting the lakes and rivers on our journeys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not disappointed at all. I' bought this kayaks two weeks ago on sale and got $150 off. After a lot of research this was the one for the price, especially for a beginner. This will also come in handy come duck season. I've taken it out 3 times already it's a little tippy when standing but nothing a couple of pontoons can't fix. Bought a new seat as most of you will find out is kind of a must. Easy to paddle and tracks pretty good for my knowledge. I've got some things I'd like to add to it and then it'll be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun times ahead! First time kayaker here. Did a lot of research and decided on this yak when it went on sale. Taken it out twice and really love it so far. I had to upgrade the seat (like everyone else suggested). Also, this can't fit a standard crate behind the seat. Which is a little bit of a bummer. I had to get creative and am happy with it. I bought a GCI sitbacker seat on sale and use the seat that came with it to hold it in. For the crate situation, I bought a cheap office box with lid. After I drilled a few holes and added some bungee cables, it holds my gear very well. Getting creative with these kind of yaks is part of the fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the Chesapeake Bay!! Love this kayak. Only thing is the seat is stupid. I put a boat seat to replace it and it is all good now. Cuts through waves and holds my cooler and a bunch of other stuff. Its a kayak, so yeah, you do get wet if you don't know what you're doing. If you get a seat that is elevated, hence the boat seat I use, your butt won't get wet. If you're worried about getting wet, buy a sit in kayak. But if you flip, its a pain in the butt vs. a sit on top that allows you to get back in real easy and will never sink compared to the sit ins. Also has fishing rod holders for us fishermen and fisherwomen. K Bye.
