Rated 5 out of 5 by from "This is my SECOND F&S Inferno spinning; my first still going strong!" See my review from 2 yrs ago on my first Inferno. Proof of the pudding is in the eating, and I went back for seconds! Purchased this one a few weeks ago since I've added vastly-different fishing environments, and needed a slightly-stiffer rod: so added a FEHIS662M 6'6" Med. As I and others have stated - in honest assessment and [in my case] the countless-hours of field-performance - this is a solid value that delivers on everything a rod is supposed to...for $30 or less. My older rod? I've shifted it to freshwater (bass), and tested it last time out with a 22" catch and close-quarters fight, with rod pretzeled more than once. NO PROBLEMO with my Inferno! This product line has EARNED the 5 stars by my reckoning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value Bought this about a month ago and the next day I took it out fishing at the local lake. The rod is very light and provided me with extra sensitivity that I was looking for. The type of fishing that I do is with 1/32 or 1/24 oz weights with a crappie tube for trout. This is perfect and strong. Caught about 10-15 trouts that day and the rod held up without a problem. I'm now thinking about get a 6 footer to make faster hook sets. Be sure to check for the spine and make sure the guides are set on it. I check all rods for this before I buy. This ensures that the rod bends straight and not turn on me when reeling fish in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from varied reveiw When I went to Dick's, I needed to replace a rod with a warranty. While I was looking at the rods, I saw that there was a fantastic deal on the Inferno series. So I decided to buy one. While at the checkout I was debating wither or not to get the warranty, but I elected against it. The rods are both very light and comfortable, I even caught a 20 in wiper on the medium heavy 7'6" rod. but while I was unhooking a fish, the rod snapped a few inches down from the tip. I hope that the other one is fine, because I really like these rods. I bet the bad one just had a bad blank. If you get one, you should get the warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Bought this to pair with the inferno reel to go trout fishing. Put lure on, hooked lure into loop and snugged line down just a bit to put in truck, Pole snapped near the tip. Didn't even get to use it. Exchanged at Dicks with no problem for same rod. Been using second rod for a while now with no problems. Good sensitivity, been holding up well so far but I'm very careful with it since the first one broke. Caught several trout up to two pounds on it and works as advertised. Hope first one breaking was a fluke. So far it seems a good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7' MH Seeing I was very impressed with the 6' medium power rod for freshwater, I decided to also purchase a 7' MH for light action surfcasting.Under the right conditions, the 7' MH can cast a 3/8 ounce Rapala Flat Rap way out there! I recently had a day fishing from a jetty landing a total of 27 smaller striped bass and easily feeling every hit. I was able to set the hook easily and lift them onto the jetty with no troubles. I also landed a 3 pound bluefish one day and the rod made it a fun fight.Another nice thing is the rod never comes apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good value, durable rod I bought two 6 ft medium rods at Dicks store and fishing all this year. It is 20 dollar rod, so can't compare with $100 rod, but I would prefer to have 5 of these rather than having a100d rod as these rods have good feeling & durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality While setting up the rod for my son I discovered that the guides were crooked and the clear coat on the wraps for the guides were cracked, as if someone had tried to realign them by hand. Also paint on the split handle was flaking off.. I exchanged the rod for another of the same, and on that one went through and checked the guides, paint, and rod for issues. Of course, that one had reel isues. I final just returned the product. It is too cheaply made and quality cointrol is lacking. I have used and my son has used other $20.00 rod/reel combos without issue, this one is just sub par.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from for tje rice, cant be beat I own a lot of fishing gear and lots of different brands of rods. I usually stick with abu garcia but i decided to try the MH 7'6" with one of my larger reels. Used it several times and caught my personal best on it (9lb 1oz largemouth) and had absolutely no problens with the rod. Unfortunately i snapped the tip off when trying to unsnag myself while in a kayak; wind pushed me into a bush and the rod bent and snapped, hardly the fault of the rod. Will definitely be buying another!
