Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Bought them to wear for a snowy photography trip to Yosemite in beginning of January with waterproof snow boots that are not rated for extreme cold. (Temps got up to 31°f). The fit was great and I have wide feet and thick ankles. Very comfortable and soft. They did an excellent job keeping my feet warm while hiking and standing in 4-6 inches of snow throughout the day, (6hrs). Excellent wicking too! I will definitely be buying more!

When I got to the store and asked one of the young women at the cash register to tell me where the wool socks were located she walked me over to a display of socks that were not WOOL then she disappeared! When I finally found the socks and prepared to pay for them I told her the sock display she'd taken me to didn't have wool socks. Her response was not to apologize but to comment that the non-wool socks were soft

I purposely brought hiking shoes just a little larger than I normally would wear to accomodate heavier socks. It fit perfectly and I'm glad I purchased these socks for comfort, wicking, and warmth. When I wore my regular shoes with socks around town, I felt the cold and wind on my feet. Their worth it!
