Rated 4 out of 5 by from My travel fishing tackle bag I needed a waist bag to use for when I want to go fishing from shore and needed something lighter than my full sized tackle box. Much easier to move around with when I'm working my way along creeks. I put a few small tackle boxes in the main pouch with some smaller lures, hooks, ect... and keep spare line, pliers and other stuff in other pockets. I have more pouches and pockets on it that I really need. Love the water bottle pockets also. Got it in store when I was looking for a waist bag in the fishing section and they were out. Keep it in my truck with my travel pole for when I get off work early and can hit my fishing hole. Very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's just what I needed I bought this for the second half of deer season here in PA. I wish I had this pack for all my previous hunts. I had room for everything I needed. Even got smart enough to carry a small first aid kit because I had somewhere to pack it. This pack doesn't look like it's that big but I had a couple snack bars a water bottle, wet ones, my Buck knife, some surgical gloves (they packed easy in the small pocket) lighter and flint in the other small pocket, and my plastic trash bag. And I could have packed more! Belt only loosened slightly and didn't present a problem. It did the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional, Comfortable and Easy to Use I love this new multi-compartment pack I purchased in store. Not only does it have tons of compartments to keep all of my necessary (and not so necessary) items, but it actually was also very comfortable. I have a bad back and wearing this, helped support my lower back. No complaints and I highly recommend this if you like having everything handy. Now, I don't see myself wearing this during late spring and summer months, because it would be to hot, but when I was fishing in 22 degree weather, it was great! It's easy to carry though, so I may throw it over my shoulder when walking to the hole.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for $$$$ I just got this today, I really like it, the only thing I don't like is how small the pockets are, I carry cleaning gloves (allergic to deer blood) sentless handsanitizer, in a small bottle, a windicater in the side were you can put a rangefinder, or windicater, 1 bowhook, my can call a grunt tube headlamp and that's all. and my rangdfinder. its great for bow or gun hunting, I also like the strap a lot, theres only one and its out of your way. it came loose on me once. I just wish I could carry more like my camera, extra gloves, handwarmers, knight and dale rattle, and stuff like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to pack for day hunts This pack is my go-to. I've had this pack for 3-4 years now and it is just the best. One of the better FnS products out there. I had an old hip pack that had two pouches and it just wasn't enough. I have a backpack which I run occasionally, but I hate scrounging around in it for small items and I prefer not to pull up and feel the shoulder strap. Having the savage run hip pack frees up my shoulders, lets me stalk quieter, and keeps my center of balance lower. It has a lower profile than a backpack for squeezing through alders and mountain laurel. With all varying size pockets and 2 water bottle holders, it meets my needs for holding shells, gloves, gps, snacks, and calls, within easy quick reach. No more taking a backpack off. The sizable main pouch has a nice mesh pocket for smaller items like tags, pens, wallet, phone, firestarter, etc. I primarily hunt whitetail deer and turkey with this pack, but I've brought it on day hikes, backcountry fishing, and small game outings. For the price.... it can't be beat for practicality and function vs. cost. So far there's no holes, the stitching is great, the buckles are pretty solid for being plastic, and the zippers are smooth and quiet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pack for the price. Great little pack for the price. I was able to fit an entire backpack of turkey gear into it; two box calls, three pots and six strikers, seven mouth calls, an owl hooter, coyote howler, crow call, goose call, three pairs of gloves, two face masks, a headlamp, binoculars, all my call conditioning stuff, a box of shells, as well as my wallet and knife. I did strap on a foam pad and a pair of suspenders, for a homemade "minimalist" vest of sorts. I found the suspenders necessary because of my body shape, the waist belt did not hold the pack up alone (again, body shape, it works great on my wife) and it helps take a little weight off my hips and back. The only complaint is the front buckle, I'm not sure how long it will last, but that's an easy enough fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pack that holds more than it seems I use this like many others I'm sure as my gear pack while still hunting. I can fit pretty much everything in there I need. It has many compartments of varying sizes and this can be a bad thing occasionally because you can forget which one you put something in. That's more on me than the pack so don't hold it against the manufacturer :) It's quiet to wear and move around in except the zipper. I wish the zippers were just a little quieter, even after lubricating them and such they are a little noisy to open when the forest is quiet.
