Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright and compact The solar lantern I had previously purchased made me a little leary about buying another. But I got three times the lumens for the same price. My favorite feature is night light mode. It has great longevity. It will function both flat and expanded. The hook makes it easy to hang almost anywhere. No electricity? No problem.

We are the typical consumers who, when presented with new aged 'Solar power technology', are skeptical and kind of eye roll at anything that claims it will emit strong power or brightness. This little collapsible lamp impressed us. It comes with a usb cable that you can plug in and charge it with, in case you have power, but no sun light, but we never needed it. As we travelled (2 week cross country road trip) we kept the lamp collapsed, orange side up on the dashboard, and when we needed it at night, it was ready to go. Although we kept it charged daily, we had it on for a few hours passed dusk at the campgrounds and the strength of the brightness never seemed to weaken or fade even after a while. The metal handles fold into clips on the orange side, and come in super handy, they cross over each other but are open on opposite sides so they easily hook onto an overhanging branch, post hooks, or the loops inside tents meant for hanging your lamp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for kids - remarkably bright It collapses down very small. Not sure how long that rubbery part will hold up. Don't treat it like a toy. REMARKABLY bright with nice step-down to lower brightness. We like how it glows in the dark after turning off - or you can leave it on as a night-light. Fun item for kids.
