It's small and warm up to about 40 degress it keeps body heat in really well and dose A pretty good job on a cold night in Los Angeles.This sleeping bag rolls up good and fits into the compression stuff sack without any problems like other other brands.packs small enough to put into a regularly size backpack. To bad they don't make a colder degree ratings for the whisperlight model,the zipper does good and doesn't snag or get stuck.compression bag stuff sack needs to have more stitching for compression straps they begin to unthread and no more straps to compress sleeping bag with that's why i give it four stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PaHiker from Not great, but good product. Short response - Good product. Would recommend for summer camping. Long response - Purchased this sleeping bag for a two night summer trip into the PA mountains. The entire item is only 10"H an 6"W when packed tight, and less than 2.5 lbs. Perfect for a summer pack-in trip. Temps got into the low 60's at night (at about 1,900ft), and this bag was perfect. I wish the zipper was a bit more robust (it says anti-snag taping but it can snag easily, just like most bags). The drawstring around the face opening is good and accessible from the inside. I do not think this would suffice in 50* unless you were wearing thermals. For that reason... 4 Stars...Good product for what it is, but definitely would not use below 60*.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tilton from Nice sleeping bag I bought a couple of these a couple years ago and I like them. They are very easy to roll back up tightly so it fits in the bag that comes with it. I do agree with others that the temperature rating may not be the best, but I get hot easily so it's great. I could see others getting cold if they aren't hot natured like myself. I used this in about 40° weather and if you sleep with pants/shirt you should be fairly comfortable. I'm considering a couple more for my kids to have too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dasharama from Cold at 54 degrees I've used this bag about 5 times in temps between 50 and 55 degrees. I had to wear long pants, heavy socks, and a hoodie to keep warm. 50 degrees is pushing it and I definitely wouldn't use this bag in temps below 50 for hiking. Car camping is fine because I don't mind bringing extra layers along but on the trail I really don't want to bring extra clothes with me. Next winter I'll probably upgrade to something with a lower temp rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bulwark from Comfy but Temp rating is a joke For warm weather this is a great bag. I love the small package and the light weight. A comfy and easy to use bag. But when I tried this in the Adirondacks where the temp hit 50 degrees, sleeping was impossible, even after getting fully dressed, including thermal underwear and a sweater. When the temp hit 40 degrees the next night, I couldn't find enough stuff to pile on top to stay warm. Next trip I'll be adding a reflective blanket, a silk bag liner, and some hand.warmers as backup.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Seniorsailor from Small pack sleeping bag I got this for it's small light size and for sailing in Maine's foggy damp weather in the 50's this past August. One of the three compression straps ripped off at the top after the second repacking. I am not sure if the edge of the strap was burn sealed prior to being sewn to the nylon top because of how easy it tore. This would get a 5 star if there was 4 straps vs 3. At this point I am considering having a neighbor with a heavy duty sewing machine reinforce the straps to the top or maybe making a better compression bag. I believe if I take the compression bag back for a store exchange the new strap may also tear. The stitching is very close to the edge of the strap for the top. If you do get this, use care in pulling the straps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gingerfied from Perfect for what we were looking for This sleeping bag is perfect for the use we had in mind. We were looking for a light-weight bag that would not take up much space and be the right temp for late spring/summer camping. The bag came with a compression bag so the sleeping bag itself folds up to slightly larger than a nalgene bottle. The night air got down to 40 degrees F the first night we tried it. I slept with a hoodie & sweats on and kept warm. My partner was in t'shirt and shorts and said he was cold in the sleeping bag. I would assess the 50 degree mark is easy for this bag. (Don't forget, what you're sleeping on matters too!) The bottom has a two way zip so it allows you to unzip your feet out of the bag and wobble around without unzipping yourself completely out of the warmth. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because if you are rough on your items, this might not withstand a lot of rough and tumble. I expect ours to last 3 - 4 years, and given the price-point, that's better than I would expect.

Tried it out this afternoon in the house (75 degrees) and started getting warm pretty quickly, so I think this will be good for 3-season use, at least here in SC. (I also got a $15 fleece "bag" or liner and a Kelty Bestie camp blanket to carry me down into the 40s. If I need something warmer, I'll get an inexpensive winter bag and use the fleece and blanket with it.) I like the semi-rectangular shape. I'm a side-sleeper, so I need the space. I've often lost pillows during the night, so the hood is appealing to keep my pillow from running away, even it's not cold enough to need the hood around my head. I had very little trouble getting the bag back in the stuff sack, perhaps because I didn't feel obligated to make it quite as small as it was from the factory. I let the adjustable straps out an inch or two and it wasn't hard to get it to fit – and I don't think I've put much stress on the straps (which some apparently have done). Hey, they're adjustable for a reason! I just wish I'd waited a couple of days. The online price dropped another $10 through tonight. Sigh.
