Cheap Product

Do not purchase this dumbell rack (SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO CHEAP WELDING). I bought this rack a few years ago and it has been used in my home gym. I had aproximately 60lbs on the top rack and it failed due to an extremely poor weld. See image. If this had failed on the bottom rack, it could easily cause injury or harm.

Already Broken In For Us

Just set up and although we are overall pleased with the stability and quality of the weight rack, we were surprised and a little annoyed that we got a used item. There are scratches and blemishes from previous use. And the nuts and bolts were inside a sandwich bag in another open bag and had also clearly been used. Had we known we were ordering a used rack and were getting a good deal that’s one thing but to just be given an open box when you’re paying full price is poor business. I’m really just curious how this happened.

Produce Does Not Come With Proper Pieces For Assembly

Every time I buy some type of equipment from Dick’s that need assembly, the item is sent with locking nuts so the bolts cannot be tightened enough for the product to function and be safe. I’ve had to go out and buy different nuts. I believe products should come with all pieces for assembly and not need to go buy different pieces.

It’s Fine For Now

Just put this together and loaded up my dumbbells. It does indeed hold pairs from 5-50 pounds with a bit of room for an extra pair in a small weight. But, it’s definitely got some sag in the middle of the second and third shelves which have the most weight on them (180 and 270 pounds). For what I paid it’ll do for now so that I can get my bigger dumbbells off the floor but I will be looking for a new rack soon-ish that has a support in the middle of the shelves too.

Great Weigh Rack But Terrible Assembly!

The quality of the weight rack is great...once you get it assembled. No tools included. Instructions are confusing. Took us over 2 hours and trial and error of several wrenches before we could get this together. Once assembled super durable and love it, but make sure you have tools and help to assemble.
