Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as advertised Please read the ENTIRE description.. this product works exactly as advertised on March 12, 2017. I saw this product in a Dicks Sporting Goods store today and played with it for a few minutes. I unscrewed the bottom of the unit, added four 5lb weight plates on the spindle and reattached the top of the unit. I then completed a few squats and deadlifts, and this product works EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. After that, I purchased the product and am very happy with it. The description will tell you that the weight plates are NOT included with the adjustable kettle bell. Please do not leave a bad review simply because you failed to understand the product or how it works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality This is probably the most disappointing thing I've ever purchased from Dick's. After consulting with the folks in the fitness section, I opted for the adjustable kettlebell over multiple fixed weight units. Obviously, the selling point of the adjustable kettlebell is the value--you get the equivalent of 5 fixed weight kettlebells for the price of one. But after a week of regular use the screw that holds the unit together broke, rendering it unusable. Don't be distracted by the "value."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I searched far & wide for an adjustable kettlebell to add to my fairly extensive home gym. This one proved to be the most flexible and best value. Note that the exact same product is sold under the brand "Apex," over the web and in other stores, for about $20 more. This product comes with plastic spacers which can be removed and replaced with standard 1" weight plates (typically 5 or 7-1/2 pounders). Without the screw-in spindle or bottom plate, the kettlebell weighs 15 lbs. Thus, the unit can be adjusted from 15 to 50 lbs... VERY flexible! (Note to those reviewers who complained about having to fill the spacers with sand -- duhhhh... read the instructions on the card attached to the unit -- you REPLACE them with weight plates!) TIPS: Slightly lubricate the screw-in spindle with silicone to make it easier to remove & replace (I change my weights frequently). Also, you can wrap the handle with black athletic tape (Ace brand from Walmart is da' best!) to give you a better grip for heavier weights. NOTE TO DICK'S: I tried 8 times to upload a nice picture of my unit loaded with weights, but your website crashes and erases everything I've input. This is PATHETIC!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that it adjusts in weight! I was looking for a Kettlebell style weight for a few exercises that I do in a program, and I wanted to be able to "grow" in the weight that I lift. Knowing that I was going to probably buy slightly larger than I needed currently and then outgrow the weight did not make me particularly happy, but I was aware it was likely to be the case. Then I found this! It's exactly what I needed. At 20 pounds, it was a little light for a few exercises that I do with this style weight, but perfect for others. And I love that I can add weights to it, bringing the total up to 50 pounds, which is great for one thing that I currently do, but far too heavy for most of what I need this style for on a regular basis, at least right now. I've had it for a few weeks now and really couldn't be happier with the ease of changing the plates out to adjust the weight I'm using. I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice. Saves Space. Inexpensive compared to other options Luckily, my local store had these in stock so I noticed the spacers right away. I could see some buyers surprised about thinking the spacers were weight if purchased sight unseen and shipped. Kudos for Dick's fixing the description to be clear.I didn't want lots of different bells laying around to produce different combinations. You also have the option of buying only what you need since the solid bells are very expensive in my opinion. My wife loves these bells. If you change your workout, you can buy more weight and add it. My old 5lb dumbbell weights work as well. They are similar diameter so I was able to use some of my existing stock laying around. Fantastic idea. 5 Stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awkward This kettlebell is great if all you're going to do with it is 1 handed swings or deadlifts. I feel it's very bulky and awkward when performing cleans, snatches, overhead presses, turkish gets ups etc... It digs into my wrist when performing these moves and doesn't feel like a traditional kettlebell. Seriously disappointed with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile adjustable kettlebell This adjustable kettlebell is great for doing a variety of exercises, and changing/adding weight plates is easy, although it takes a few minutes. Contrary to what one reviewer noted, you do not need "special" weight plates for use in this product (just leave a couple of the plastic spacers in-between the weight plates). I have used a combination of 2.5 and 5 lb. weight plates, and place the plastic spacers between these plates -- e.g., if you are using two weight plates, remove one of the four spacers. Couldn't be easier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spacer disks can be filled with sand I read many negative comments about this product due to the fact that it comes with spacers rather than plates but one review indicated that the spacers could be filled with sand so I placed my order. I was able to fill the spacers which gives some flexibility in terms of weight. Eventually I will still get a few plates so I can use a combination of plates and spacers but in the meantime this works perfectly.
