Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I just bought this yesterday but I'll give you my take on it. I absolutely love this rack. The pull-up bar has adjustable handles for different grips and can be connected to the inside of the J-hooks to be used as dip bars. I am currently using a standard 6' bar which works as long as you don't mind the plates being a couple inches off but a 7' Olympic bar would be best. Also the height adjustment gaps are well spaced for proper placement of hooks and arms. Aside from that it was a quick and easy set up, and is very sturdy. Though if you have any concerns about that you can always bolt it to the floor with the pre-drilled holes. So far, overall, I am very happy with this rack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far a very good purchase. I bought this rack a few weeks ago, so my opinion is still forming. But to date, it has performed up to expectations. It was relatively easy for me to assemble by myself. The safety bars and the adjustable pull up bars/dip bars were the main features I was after, and they have been great so far. One potential future issue: I move the pull up bars multiple times each workout (narrow grip, wide grip), and convert down to dips every time as well. There is already scratching on the main cross beam from moving the blue handles. But, I'm not that worried about aesthetics, so as long as this holds up and doesn't wear through, not an issue for me. So far, that has been a really good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! It took some time for me to pull the trigger and purchase this because I wanted to make sure I saw all my options. For the price you can't beat this. I was hesitant because some reviews said it would wobble a little bit. I'm going to assume it was their floor because mine has ZERO wobble. This thing is solid! Setup was easy. I love how it has racks for all my plates/weights! I purchased the matching bench as well. When I opened it, it didn't have the actual back rest for the bench but only the seat. The store gave me the missing piece from a new box and all is good! I was thinking about getting the Ethos 1.0 rack for $699. I'm glad I went this route. If you're one the fence about it. I hope I can make it easier by saying I would recommend to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I had done some research on racks for a few weeks before I came across this one from DSG. I was hesitant at first, as it was about 1/3 the cost of what I was considering spending, and am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. This rack is the exception... for less than $700 I was able to purchase this rack, the adjustable bench, and 300lbs of Olympic weights with bar, and also 48sf of rubberized flooring to make my own home gym complete. I couldn't be happier. The rack has some great features with the adjustable bar for doing both pull ups as well as dips. For those of you concerned about it wobbling, don't. Sure, it's not as heavy duty as a rack you'd find at some gym, but it is more than adequate. I'm 43, squat 275 and bench 240, don't plan on juicing, and this rack will last me for years to come. Got everything mentioned above in to my mid size SUV in one trip, and assembled it in about an hour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really good rack Pros. Great rack, lots of options for lifting. I was concerned about its stability due to it being a half rack and me being 220lbs. But so far so good. No wobbles at all. All the attachments move quickly and easily which keeps your time under tension up. Cons. I would really like for it to have 8 plate holders instead of 6. 4 on each side for 5, 10, 25, 45 would be great. Also the cross bar with the Dip / chin up handles on it seems a little flimsy and flexes quite a bit for me (again I am not a small guy). I think they should have made that with a thicker material.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite pleased We got this for an early Christmas gift in October, along with the FG 300lb bar/plate set. It was remarkably easy to assemble and has worked flawlessly. We have it on hard rubber gym flooring without being bolted down and it's very solid. Even using the top bar as a TRX mount point. The ONLY negatives I have are aesthetic. The numbers for where the j hooks go are a plastic sticker that get's chewed up pretty quick. Would have been better being painted or simply numbered on the side. The other issue is the cheap paint coating on the bar hangers. It's scraped all up and they look cruddy. This does not affect functionality and isn't even fair to take off a whole point but there is no option to give this a 4.8. As a home gym, this item is wonderful!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rack for price After weeks of searching the web for a rack for my garage gym I finally decided to pull the trigger on the fitness gear half rack pro. I really like being able to unrack my weight to do squats without worrying about hitting the cage with the weights. It has plenty of height positions for everyone. The fact that the top bar can be used for pull ups and then repositioned to do dips is a great feature. Most racks require you to purchase a separate dip attachment. It also comes with the posts on the back for weight storage. Another great feature. The overall quality is solid. Don't get me wrong it shakes a little bit but not enough to affect the functionality. At $350 it's a great value. I'm really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who's looking to purchase a rack for their personal home gym. Took me about an hour and a half to assemble. Just don't overtighten the bolts as the metal will bend before the nuts stop. Overall it's a great rack for any level weight lifter

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable Rack. Love it If you have a small space, this half rack will be plenty enough for you. It stands about 85" tall. My ceiling downstairs tops out at 91" so when I do my pull-ups, I just do them slow and controlled so I don't hit my head and plus, it's the way they're suppose to be done anyhow. The pull up bar can be taken off and inserted in the adjustable weight bar J-hooks so you can do dips as well. I am 6'00" tall and weigh 190lbs and it holds me with no problem. The rack was easy to put together as I did it myself in about two hours while I watched football on a Sat night. I am 37yrs old and lift light to moderate with a few heavy days a month and this rack is perfect. I researched power racks literally for about three months and this one and another brand were the best. The Dicks Sporting Goods team in Morgantown, W.V. had amazing customer service, which ultimately led me to purchase this one over the other one (who never answered their phones or returned messages - customer service means a lot to me). So many people are into the cross-fit brand type equipment nowadays but all that does is make you spend more money. I am a new dad and have been into working out for about 20yrs now and in my experience, less is more. Trust me. For all you daddy's out there - no excuses. A baby doesn't stop you from working out, the person in the mirror does. Wake up at 4am to workout if you have to. This will help you not break the bank and will also help you stay/get in shape. As you can see in the picture, I already have a weight tree so I didn't put the storage racks on the sides, which also saved me some space.
