Great Standard Dumbell Handles

I bought these standard dumbbell handles to replace some older ones which were worn out that had plastic and rubber grip on them. These are so much better, they're very comfortable, work great with standard weight plates, and the spindle collars stay nice and tight. They're a really nice addition to my gym.

Great Standard Weight Plate Compatible Dumbbell Handles!

I bought these to replace my older dumbbells which had rubber/plastic grips that had worn out, and I am very happy with these new ones from Fitness Gear! They are well built, super comfortable to use, and work great with standard weight plates! Plus the spindle collars stay nice and snug.

Great Feel.

They are comfortable. They have stayed tight so far.

Could Be Better

Overall these handles are sturdy and the end collars went on smoothly and seemed to stay tight fairly well. The grip wasn’t super uncomfortable but it wasn’t comfortable either. I probably could have lived with that. But I ended up returning them because there isn’t any kind of raised barrier to keep the plates off the grip. There is a rubber ring that in theory helps keep them in place but didn’t. My 1” plates slid right over it. I have a couple of small neoprene covered plates that I thought might help since they’re a little non slip. Even those worked their way over it once there were other plates behind them.

Just Get Regular Dumbbells

So if you are keeping them under 30 lbs no big deal, you might be fine. But the hand grips are too thin to be comfortable. And when I tried to rack them on my shoulders to set up for chest press I could not do it because of the spikes at the ends. These types of dumbbells are not great for anything over 30 lbs trust me.
