I bought these a few weeks ago and while they are of quality construction, the design is all wrong. The legs are massively voluminous. I could put both my legs in one pant leg. Taper these and re-release them. Wasted my money. I’ll never wear these.

Not great for working in the woods. Used while fishing, hunting, climbing, hiking and working. - placing items in front pockets limits movement and are not functional; top pockets are too small and tight - fit limits movement and decreases protection from mosquitos - side zips do not compensate for needlessly tight fit which make pants poor heat protection - fit is uncomfortably tight even for a low BMI person and cause undergarments to constantly bunch - strange cuff taper rides off boots and invites insects up legs and seeds onto socks and into shoes - start to smell more quickly than many synthetic pants Should take notes from the discontinued Abisko 828321, and a past style of clothing - maybe a perfect pair of pants. Really enjoyed past products, do not mean to be overtly critical. Maybe this is a more fashion oriented product.

Have not tested in real conditions yet but these pants are exactly what I was looking for: well built technical look/feel, not baggy, functional front-facing pockets for map, navigational gear, and trail food, and, I hope, perfect for summer/high temp hikes, trail runs, and rogaines. Purchased 32 waist and fit perfectly. In a slow jog, did not drag on hips and knees like other brand jogging/trail running trousers.

Not trail tested yet, which is the only reason I'm withholding one star. Will update my review after I've lived in them for 12 days on the trail at Philmont Scout Ranch in northern New Mexico's high desert mountains. Lightweight. Comfortable. I like the use of snaps in place of a button above the fly. Waist to knee side zips are a must have. Ordered "Light Olive" which is nowhere near olive. It's a shade of khaki. As a Scout leader, I really wish these trousers came in Laurel Green. (Can't wear these when we're required to dress in our "Class A's.") We wear tan/khaki shirts and tan over tan is -- not stylin'. l almost docked you another star for that but, hey, I'm a nice guy. ;-) Fjallraven designers/marketers - ***ALL*** of your pants should come in "Scout Green". Your "Laurel Green" is close enough. You're missing out on a huge market, at least in the US.

These are by far my favorite pants ever for trekking, travelling etc. Super comfortable and lightweight, but also tough as nails. After several overnights and rounds of deep mud and butt-sliding down rocks, they still look brand new.
