I loved my first one so much I bought a second one. Very comfortable. Solid build. Not too warm for summer, but great as a base layer on colder days too.

6'2" & ~165-170 lbs. w/ long arms & torso & it fits like it was made to my exact specifications in a large. I've had mine for a few years & I don't think I've ever used it in temps above ~70F so not sure how it does in the warm, but I love it as a layer (usually over a base & under insulation in winter & over a T-shirt w/ a shell of some manner over top when needed in spring/fall). It seems to help w/ moisture management & temp regulation & acts as a minor but noticeable wind baffle/diffuser. Only major complaint I've got w/ it is the price, but I'll likely wind up grabbing a couple more at some point.

I really like the fit and material, but there's something off about the polyester used. After wearing the hoodie for a short amount of time, it gives off a foul smell (chemical/ammonia like smell). Non of my other athletic apparel does this and makes me suspect there's something about the recycling process in the polyester.

Huge fan of this! It's a go to for slightly warmer to hotter temperatures. It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market (REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. The hood is more oversized so it's easy to wear over a helmet or to sorta pull to the side to provide extra protection from the sun -- even when you're just driving and there's bright sun coming from the side window. I own two and am dreaming of a third!

I bought a few months ago and I am generally happy with the top however, the odours build up very quickly, after a single day use, compared to other base layer tops I have which is a challenge on multi day hikes. Perhaps this can be addressed in future models.

I bought this a few months ago and the quality is what I would expect from Fjallraven, but it has failed to protect me from the sun if I am outside all day in the sun. I am quite pale which is why I purchased this and if you're going to wear a sun hoodie, you'd expect some protection from UV rays at least. I like the shirt & I'll continue to wear it on days where I need minor sun protection, but I'll use a different product on when I will 100% need UV protection.

lite and fast drying, good protection under sun from head to wrist, i wear it everytime i go hiking or camping, just picked up second one today.. wish there was more choice for colour

Excellent quality, XL fits me perfectly, I am 6'0" 190 lbs. Super comfortable and perfect when a heavier weight hoodie might get too warm. Breathes well, I wear this trail hiking in cooler mornings in Arizona. I really like the hood, I pull it up over my cap to protect my neck from the sun, and unlike other, fruit flavored hoodies I have, it is roomie enough not to be constricting, and the geometry is perfect to stay up without blowing down. I wish it was available in black and some lighter colors.

Super breathable, fast drying. Everything you can want in a shirt for hikes in the scorching sun. Great protection yet leaves you feeling cool and airy. Great cut too. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend.

The quintessential shirt for hot, exposed hikes in the Grand Canyon! Kept me quite cool in 106 degree heat with it’s excellent ventilation and windsock like quality vectoring any light breeze around my face, head, neck and upper back. So well made!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving the hood on this sun hoody. It is much larger and more comfortable than most. I'm 5'10" 175lbs with broad shoulders and lanky and the size large is a good fit for me. I like things looser and I'd say this fits somewhere between athletic and relaxed in the shoulders/chest without being snug on the gut. If anything the sleeves are a bit short but only if I'm using the thumb holes (which I rarely do). Speaking of, they give good coverage on the hands but are often visible if you aren't using them. As someone who rarely uses thumbholes this played into my 4 stars but I know some will love them. The material is light and breathable but I can envision it snagging easily. It looks a bit like a grid and has a bit of a sheen to it, but it sits nice and feels good. I've worn it multiple days in a row and ran in it. It didn't stink as easily as some synthetics, but it wasn't amazing in this regard. It doesn't advertise having anti odor properties but I wouldn't be surprised either way. The verdict: compared to other sun-hoody's on the market, this does not list a UPF, or anti-odor, but the material looks similar to other brands that do and seems high quality. It's comfortable with a great fit. If you're comparing sun-hoodys and want a stylish one with a hood you can wear without looking like you're a scuba diver then this is it!

I’ve used this shirt for countless fishing trips and about 2,800 miles of backpacking. The fit is non-constricting and the material is super breathable. I really like the size of the hood and the fact that it covers your neck. If you wear it with a brimmed hat the hood protects your peripheral from sun as well. After thru hiking the Continental Divide Trail wearing this as my everyday shirt with a backpack on it showed very little wear. Great shirt!

This is my favourite Base layer hoodie for day to day and backpacking. There is a nice wide brim on it to shade your face. The fit is relaxed so it never feels uncomfortable. The sleeves are long enough to cover your hands to keep them shaded. The fabric is crazy breathable and dries super fast. The hoody is a bit heavy at 170grams but not having to use a stupid ball cap on my head more than makes up for that.
