Just About Perfect!

These are the perfect pants. I've worn mine daily for more than a year and they are still in good shape. Just bought another pair. They are deceptively light in weight, but durable. I have not had any problems with the buttons or zipper. The knife pocket works perfectly with my SAK on a tether. The back pocket flaps are good for keeping wallet secure. Please, please don't "improve" the design!!!

Amazing Fit And Very Comfortable.

Please never stop making these pants. I own 4 pair and they're the only pants I wear and I will wear them forever so long as you keep making them. My only point of feedback is to use better quality buttons. I have broken 3 buttons (in various places; front button, inside button at the front, back pocket button). I just sewed a new button on my pants today. Still, these pants get 5 stars. The fit is just perfect. And they're soooooo comfortable. These can be dressed up or down. I wear them with Red Wing boots and a flannel and sometimes with a sportcoat and Alden's. These pants just rock.

Beware Length

The fit is different with these. They are big around the waist and loose around the seat, unlike Karl pro which fit superbly. But that's just how they are, I suppose,so ok. Nice to have narrow legs at the bottom though, which is why I got them. However the most irritating thing they are not raw length!!!! They only 34 inch inside leg (which it NOT how they are described). Can you please explain this to me? I have kept them because of the narrower hem even though they are shorter.

Great Upland Hunting Pant

Great pants, do what they claim too nothing more nothing less. I wear them for hunting, and have been for the last two years in all types of weather and climate. They still look the same as the day i got them. Knife pocket works well didnt think id use it but i do almost every hunt. The fabric is by no means made for heavy brush but holds up very well even with thorns while going through thick bush/brush. If your looking for a great well made sturdy pant that you can hunt in and not worry about them getting torn then look no further. If you want something with more bells and whistles get a different pair. I got a size 33 - tall Im 6ft4 200lbs athletic They fit great

Compromises

After a week hunting (partly) in these pants, I have mixed opinions on them. First thing to notice is how tight and firm they are. This resulted in poor mobility trying to get over obstacles or going uphill. It also made the pants stick to my skin whenever I would sit down without expanding my legs, removing the air layer that would usually insulate my skin from the outside cold. However, this is likely due to the sturdiness of those pants, which came in pretty handy (leggy?). Walking through raspberry fields was as breezey as the autumn wind gusts and it didn't pull a single tread out. Unfortunately, this sturdiness doesn't apply everywhere. The inside button, per example, fell out within two days of wearing the pants, with suspenders. That is with being careful not to put the pants in the dryer. When I switched to my Keb trousers, I loved having more pockets to put all my gear in and the side zippers were perfect for unexpectedly hot days, but the noise of my rifle stock against the buttons or clipping them shut on top of the unease of getting stabbed by raspberry thorns made the Kebs a compromise I did not want to take. If there ever is a version of the Kebs with a tougher fabric and maybe silent magnets to hold the pockets closed, they might just be the perfect hunting pants.
