This is the cheapest down jacket I've ever owned. I wore it for less than a week, and it ripped open like tissue paper on a rounded table corner at a restaurant. How on earth they are charging this much for such a cheap product is outrageous. It's warm, but I walk around afraid of hitting anything for fear it will rip again. If it wasn't a gift I'd have returned it immediately. DO NOT BUY.

Arrived few days ago but I already love it. Warm, soft. Size fit perfectly

I tried on a lot of parkas/jackets/etc. from the big brands like North Face, LLBean, Patagonia before picking this one (well, technically it was a Christmas gift from my partner), but my criteria was that it had to be: loose in the shoulders, warm enough to wear with thin things under, roomy enough for a sweater if needed, and cute. AND THIS is the ONE!! I couldn't be happier. I'm from Miami but I was outside for over an hour in 7 degree weather building my first snowman! I can finally go for walks in the winter without dreading the prep or discomfort of wearing too much stuff! With the hood on and zipper zipped up all the way, it's actually so warm in front of my face that my glasses fog up immediately. Actually, when I was in the 7 degree weather, I was even wearing just a long sleeve shirt underneath. I'm so happy.

I love this coat. I live in Calgary Canada and It’s my 3rd year with it. It’s perfect for those days below -15c, anytime I wear it above that temperature I get too hot. I do layer, but I was out in -6 yesterday with only a thin sweater and I was way too warm. The other day I put some more layers on (thin merino wool base, grid fleece, and it was -20. I was way too warm again while out walking for a couple of hours. Great warm coat, I always get compliments on it too (I have the red)

This is by far my favorite coat, it feels like a walking sleeping bag! I’ve taken it to Iceland and Greenland in February and it was perfect! It’s so nice to finally be warm.

I purchased this 2 months ago, but as we've had a very mild fall in Calgary, I've only had one occasion to wear it, so far. Yesterday it was -6, but with a slight windchill, and this coat didn't keep me warm! I wondered whether my expectations were too high, but given all the positive reviews, I wore it again when it was only -4, with sunshine, and I was still cold. I was wearing a shortsleeved t-shirt with a quite heavy flannel shirt over the top, had cinched the waist to try and trap air, so overall this has been an extremely disappointing, and costly experience. I expected a lot more from Fjällraven.

I bought this coat is a dark grey from the store in Calgary. I love how light it is and easy to put on and without my shirt being pulled up as some other goats do that have a liner. This coat is also very very warm but not so warm that I sweat. It has awesome large pockets for all things including the mail when I’m walking from the box.

The best! I’m out hiking in Minnesota with my dog nearly every day! It’s my lifestyle jacket, living life in it. I’m planing to keep it forever, don’t care how worn it will get. Excited to get the lighter version.

I have this in True Red and I love it. The fit, the warmth, the color! I get a ton of compliments when I wear it, and it keeps me warm in the winter in the upper PNW. I plan on taking this with me to Europe this winter.

For reference I am W; 5'11, 145lbs, and purchased in size Medium. I live in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and it gets down below -20C routinely. I have had this jacket for a year now and could not be happier. As someone tall and with long arms, this jacket is a dream! Every time I slip it on I feel like it was made for me, the fit is that perfect. The adjustable drawstring at the waist and knees ensures that no wind is going up your back, but i still have room to layer a sweater underneath. This parka is also super toasty and does a good job of being wind resistant. The hood is also one of the best I have ever had. It offers the same insulation as the rest of the jacket, and when you tighten the drawstring it's then shaped perfectly to your head. No matter how windy or stormy the hood stays in place. As someone who used to dread winter because I was always cold/uncomfortable, upgrading to a quality parka that actually reaches all the way to my knees has been such a game changer. I guess it's true what they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad outfits. I would purchase this product again and again. Please never change the fit or the quality!

I bought this coat about two months ago. I absolutely love it! It’s like wearing a nice fluffy lightweight down sleeping bag. It is great for walking the dogs on cold windy days. The one thing it is missing is some fleece on the collar when you zip it up by your chin.

I bought this coat when I moved to one of the coldest cities in the US (Duluth). To those who think this coat is not warm enough… that is utter nonsense. If it is above 20F (-5C) I literally sweat in this coat, even just wearing a t shirt underneath. I have worn it to walk my dogs for over an hour in -40F windchill and still felt warm. I would say if you don’t live somewhere very very cold, this coat may too warm for you. I would absolutely plan to rebuy if ever needed but so far it has held up great! 155lbs, 5’7 SIZE M fits perfect

As a native Chicagoan, I’ve endured some frigid temperatures (as cold as -20F/-28C with the windchill) and this parka is my secret weapon. It’s roomy enough to fit multiple thick layers underneath and super comfortable. The hood helps shield your face from heavy winds and doesn’t easily collapse. It’s a little bulky, but that’s to be expected for the type of coat it is. It is legitimately the warmest coat I own. I’m obsessed. I highly recommend this parka to anyone who has to deal with routinely frigid winters. It’s worth the cost.

I absolutely love this jacket—it's hands down the best one I own, and I have a lot. The red color is eye-catching, and it's incredibly comfortable and flexible, not stiff or heavy even in the coldest temperatures. Living in the Northeast, I'm often outside in freezing weather, and this jacket keeps me warm without feeling bulky. After a couple of years, it still looks great, and I get tons of compliments on it. It's easy to care for too: I wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and air fluff it on low heat, and it comes out looking like new. Definitely a five-star product!

I love this coat! I live in Alberta, Canada and I am always cold (I keep my house at 22 C and also sit under a blanket). I have only had this coat a few weeks, but I LOVE it. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s a bit like wearing a sleeping bag, but in a good way. I bought the navy blue, which is true to the picture online. I’ve already gotten compliments on the colour. I was so warm and cozy today at -25 C with only a light layer underneath. It is soft, wind resistant and light weight. I know it to continue to keep me warm below -25 temperatures. I ordered XS as per the size chart (the fit finder recommended size small). The XS fits perfectly with room for layers. I am 5’10 with long arms and find the sleeve length to be great and the coat falls just below my knees. I love all of the pockets, drawstrings and snaps. What a great investment!
