This Coat Is A Game Changer

I bought the original version and have had it for about 5 years. It is so warm and as others mentioned an abundance of pockets. Zips up around the chin which helps keep the cold and wind off your neck. The zip can be finicky in reference to lining up the zip bit no problem for me. I have washed it in warm and line dry and then put recommend bu manufacturer water repellent. Has never soaked through. It is a heavy coat but so worth the investment if living in a cold climate.

If It Weren’t For The Zipper

Parka is warm and heavy which is great for those frigid Chicago winters. It’s just the zipper sucks! It’s hard to pull-up, mainly by its on the opposite side.

I'm mortified but I don't speak English, I hope Google can help me without too many mistakes, the parka is magnificent, very comfortable, soft, very warm, tested in Lapland at -30 it held up perfectly even on a snowmobile, highly recommended, the only problem, a very serious one, concerns the zipper which there was no way to close, it jammed and caused delays, a shame because I would have gladly bought another parka for every day in the city, however I am very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend it

Warm, Toasty And Dry.

I've already seen my husband wear his for the past few months, and thought would buy one for myself. His is a medium and fit me, so checked the women's sizes and the best fit was a large. It fits perfectly! Really warm but doesn't make you sweaty. The port colour is really lovely too. I would definitely recommend this,.

Cosiest Coat Ever

With Boston temps already hitting the teens in December, I can't compliment this jacket enough, it's literally the warmest coat I have ever owned and have recommended it to anyone and everyone. I haven't even needed gloves with the fleece lined pockets! Absolutely worth it!!

Great Parka, Not Better Than Previous Nuuk Model

Compared to the previous Nuuk that I own since 12/13 years this one is not an upgrade. I can live with losing the left arm pocket, although it was very convenient to carry a ski pass or similar. I’m not thrilled about the buttons to attach the faux fur vs. the previous zipper, buttons and freezing temperature don’t mix well. What is most disappointing to me is the new fit in the back of the garment, the internal drawstring no longer gathers the exterior fabric so the jacket looks like a sack on me instead of the great fit the earlier model had; yes, you are still able to tighten the interior layers securing warmth, but the outside layers hangs on top of everything else Unfortunately I could not try this on before buying as not sold in any physical store in my country, I very well may not have bought it considering how it looks on vs. the previous Nuuk Will have to see how the new fake leather logo survives its first washing, I’m not too certain it won’t be destroyed

Very Thin, Unhappy

This "updated" coat is so thin and cheaply made. I am incredibly disappointed. My original coat (got stolen and I had to buy a new one) was purchased five years ago. It was plush, warm and the faux fur lining was fuller and longer. The mesh pockets are better than these current pockets. This coat is so thin. I do not recommend.

Warm And Cozy

I’ve had this coat for a few years now and look forward to pulling it out each winter. It’s warmer than any other coat I’ve owned and feels like a cozy hug. I know of at least 3 other people who have purchased this coat because of how much I rave about it! They’ve all been so happy with it as well. Unfortunately it no longer fits me due to health reasons and I’m not able to afford to purchase another one because of other life circumstances but I definitely would if I could!

Warm!!

I bought this coat because I needed something warm for winter recess duty in Michigan. We go out as long as it feels like 0° or warmer and it can get bitter out there! This coat is perfect! It's toasty warm, but it is a heavier coat. It also has lots of pocket inside and out which fantastic. My only complaint is the zipper and I took a star off for it. Connecting it is much trickier than it should be. The coat has 2 zipper covers and keeping those out of the way while trying connect them is a bit annoying. But mostly, the bottom zipper floats up while you're trying to zip it so you don't get a good lock on it. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I can see some people being frustrated enough to return it. Zipper aside, if you need a recess duty coat this is it!

I Love Nuuk

It’s the best parka in the world. I’ve used it on photography trips to Iceland, Norway, and even Lapland at –25°C, and I never felt cold. Since photography often means spending long hours outdoors standing still, this jacket always kept me perfectly warm.

My Favorite Dog Walking Coat!

I have had this coat for over a month now and I love it! Super warm and the absolute best coat I’ve ever had for walking my dog or hiking in the winter. Keeps me warm without getting too warm. Seems to regulate well. I went a size down (small vs my normal size medium) and I’m glad I did. Plenty of room for layering with thicker clothes underneath. Very happy with this purchase!

Excellent Jacket With Only A Few Minor Complaints

Warmth: easily one of the warmest jackets I ever owned. I even have an expensive down jacket, but this one is better because it’s water and rain proof. I tested it out in 0 to -10 C weather in the rain and wind, and all I really needed was a T-shirt underneath. Fit: Quite large. I’m normally a size XS, but it was a bit too roomy for me. My mom is a size M, and she says my jacket is the perfect size for her. Complaints: The hood with the fur trim covered my eyes and made it hard to see. I had to remove it if I ever wanted to wear it in the rain. He zipper is also really finicky. I struggle half the time trying to get it to zip up.

Nothing Compares.

The quality of this coat is unmatched. You will not be cold wearing it.

Received A Used Dirty Coat For Exchange Of Damaged Coat

I purchased the Fjallraven women's Nuuk Parka from Dicks Sporting Goods. The first coat they sent had a broken zipper and the snaps did not fit so snapping and unsnapping took effort to line up and pinch in just the right spot. For 500.00 the zipper and snaps should work effortlessly. I contacted them to exchange the same coat for another. The new coat arrived yesterday in a box. It was filthy. There was stuff in the pockets and the sleeves were dirty and the coat was covered in what looked like sawdust. The jacket was literally stuffed in a box and it smelled of what I think might be horses. It was not in a protective, labeled bag. It took me an hour of working with customer service to get the exchange and it was my responsibility to repackage and ship it back then to have to make yet another customer service contact and the resolution was to "escalate the complaint." There was obviously no quality control at all for either of these coats.
