Are They Expensive? Yes. Are They Worth It? Also Yes.

I have a narrow foot. Because of this, a lot of shoe laces end up being way too long. So I replace them with these. I do a lot of trail running and regular cloth shoelaces catch on things and rip too easily. These are much more durable. Plus, the reflective elements are a nice touch when I'm out running in the dark.
