Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great starter Bought this yak during a sale. Had it out in the water mostly ponds and lakes. Very stable and I can move around the yak without flipping it. Tracks well and the speed is not too bad. Caught a few bass with it too! Definitely a bang for your buck, the only thing that really sucks is the seat. Only upgrade needed imo

Rated 3 out of 5 by from needs immediate upgrading Footrest dropped off when loading it at the store. At home, found the other side was also loose. The bolts only go into the plastic shell, so easily strip out. I'll be replacing them with something that will handle foot pressure. Holes behind the seat appear to be for a placard, but need to be plugged, as they go through the shell. Tiny flecks of metal in the plastic make black spots. Price was right, but can't launch it till making improvements.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good starter kayak Took this one out for the first time on a lake with a bit of a windy day. It handled well and I bought a longer paddle than normal because I could dig into the water better. The kayak did very good for me until I forgot the plugs in the bottom. When finished I had a wet butt with the water coming from under the seat. The seat was uncomfortable with no back support. I'm changing out the seat you can find many ideas on youtube for it. My main reason for this style of kayak was so I can get in and out better with my bum knee. It doesn't rock back and forth while getting in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great small kayak I bought this kayak a couple of months ago and too about 2 weeks to rig it up with a storage crate, anchor trolley, replaced the scotty rod holder with Lowrance Elite-4 HDI fish/depth finder, and added a stadium seat from Bass Pro Shops. I have found the kayak extremely stable and easy to maneuver, also tracks well also! Having owned a 14 foot kayak before I wondered how it would do with my 195 lbs and lots of gear! I ams so pleased! I only gave it 4 stars due to the poor scupper design. Due to the weight distribution the scuppers under the seat and at the front do not drain without putting more weight forward. Also there are no scuppers in the rear storage area. I do not go out in windy or choppy conditions so this has not been a big problem. All in all, a great kayak for $400 sale price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review Purchased in February. This is a nice little kayak. Nothing fancy. On rivers, tourists in rental yaks pass me effortlessly. Wind pushes it around easily. Dry storage is located up front where water gets in often. This is My first yak so I'm not upset but for the price I was hoping for better product. Seat sucks. I bought yak bak or whatever it's called for 100 bucks. I can stand up in the kayak on flat water but average person would spill. It has enough room for a milk crate in rear and that's why I bought it. It's OK for fishing and exploring rivers lakes lagoons and bays but inshore Gulf of Mexico was not a good idea. I didn't flip l, just kept swamping. My next yak will be 12 foot but this is fine for a starter yak! Plenty of options for upgrades along the sides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy! I have owned this kayak for 1 year and fish 1-2 times per week. I mainly fish shallow creeks and often unintentionally scrape the bottom. Due to a design flaw in the rear of the hull I have two cracks in the plastic. The rest of the hull has held up but its only a matter of time before another leak occurs. Other kayaks made by Future Beach have not acquired similar damage fishing on the same creeks. I would buy another kayak from this company, but not this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Bought mine out the first day paddled up river awesome stability. Put my forty lb husky on back no problem. I weight 220 six ft one. Took scuppers out no water inside kayak. Stayed dry till I wanted to swim. Great for the price. Mine was on special $399.
