Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Kayak I'm 6'1" 250lbs. Spent about two and a half hours paddling up and down a local river and really enjoyed this yak. It was comfortable and very stable. I had bought another kayak prior and it was so unstable I had to return it. The stability on this kayak is great and instilled a huge amount of confidence. The back padding and seat padding was enough for me to not even think about it during my outing. Paddling hard or just taking it easy the thing went through the water well and tracked well. The river I was on gets quite shallow in some areas but I was good down to about 6" f depth before hitting bottom. Lifting in and out of the water is a breeze. No complaints at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First single seat yak I've had this kayak for a full season and I can't wait to get back on the water. The features of this yak have been useful and I do like it's stability. For a fishing yak it moves well and tracking is good. My biggest complaint was the seat ( has been replaced ) and the lack of padding inside the cockpit for knees. For the sale price it would be a VERY good buy. The salesman was very helpful

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review for Big Men After l bought this kayak l read numerous bad reviews about leg room and overall tight quarters. While l thought it was fine when l 'tried it on' at the store l dreaded my first major expedition. I just beached it after a two hour leisure cruise on a small lake. Got into some excellent fishing holes, but as a man of 6'3" and 306 lbs (I'm working on that) l had no problems with comfort. I was able to sit cross legged, drape legs over the sides, tuck them all of the way in, and sit like you are actually supposed to. The seat was comfortable. I enjoyed it. Notice l am also 6 pounds over the weight limit, but it didn't feel like l was about to capsize. I really like this kayak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fishing Kayak I have a sea kayak that I have been fishing from, on a river, but it is not ideal for that. So I researched and bought this kayak to river fish. The cockpit is very cramped and I cannot even bend my knees, they are trapped under the front deck. I am six foot one and slim build and it is tight. There are no paddle holders nor is there an anchor system. The plastic is VERY soft. One day on the river and I have more bottom damage than I do on my 12 year old sea kayak. I also don't like the molded in seat, there are no adjustments at all and you cannot access the rear of the kayak from your seat. On the plus side, the kayak is very maneuverable and paddles easily. I haven't raced anyone so I cannot compare its speed but it does seem to glide through the water very well. It moves so easily that each cast and retrieval of a lure actually moves me in that direction. It also floats me, I weigh 210 lbs, in pretty shallow water. All I need is about five inches and I can move about. What I like the most is that I can carry it to and from the river without breaking my back; it is very light. I rigged up my own homemade anchor system and will add paddle clamps soon. For $339.00, what I got it for, it is a usable fishing kayak that handles well and gets the job done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very happy first time buyer. I like it!It's fairly light, will squeeze into my mini van, easy to get into and out of, tracks well and is pretty stable and sea worthy (within reason). First run I took it out for sea trials out of Anacortes, WA.. There was quite a bit of harbor traffic with large wakes(2 - 2 1/2 ft. waves) This kayak handled them all wonderfully when oriented at a 45* angle in either direction. It was a little un nerving at first, but kind of fun once you got the hang of it. It's not the sleekest/fastest of boats, but what it lacks in that it makes up in stability. The dash is nice with the removable tackle box and there are two handy stows fore and aft, with the smaller one in front water proof to keep a small amount of gear dry.The only problem I experienced with this fine boat is the left foot rest is a bit harder to adjust than the right, but it still works, just with a bit more effort.I'd buy this boat again.Consider running a strip or two of clear packing tape or duct tape down along the entire bottom 2 spines to add a bit of protection from wear or tear, because this is the kind of boat made for exploring and getting in close, imo. and buy a seat cushion.Enjoy!
