Ordered a brand new pair online. They showed up in a box that looked like at had been opened, run over by a truck, and then taped back up. Will be returning.

Pretty Good!
Good feel; light. Probably would not provide a lot not protection from a direct kick to the shins but offers enough.

Soccer & Mountain Biking?
6'0" / 150lb (slim) Adult Male - Purchased LARGE and fit very well. This is an out of the box review...no use yet. Overall they fit tight and I don't anticipate a lot of sliding around and coverage is good (for soccer). For Soccer, the PROS = coverage, fit tight, look cool, and feel like a compression sleeve. The CONS = the guard is a middle-grade feeling foam that isn't very firm or thick. I'm not too confident it will deflect a hard hit like a plastic guard does. Also if you are minimalist when it comes to a guard and want something smaller, this isn't it.... For Mountain Biking, the PROS = coverage, fit tight, feel like a compression sleeve, and they look cool if you don't cover them with anything. The CONS = foam shield is thin and not firm enough to stop a pedal spike and there are spaces between the foam as you can see in the pics....my luck that's where the pedal spikes will hit. I'm guessing after a hit or two the foam or sleeve material will tear and they'll be done; good bye $$$.
