Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small Issue but I like the stool I'm a school teacher and I wanted a stool or chair that would be low enough to sit at my table when I work with my students, its great for that. However, every time I stand up the chair rises and then it slowly falls every time I sit. Even if I try to set the height it does this and my 9 year old students who have tried it have the same problem. I would recommend this stool to a friend but I would also recommend they return if this happened to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect!! Meets all my requirements! Core stability is challenged. Takes up less room than the ball chairs - perfect for my small space. I really like the adjustable height feature - diversity of applications (which I use). Easy to assemble. I am very pleased and recommend to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hooray for my Back! I work in a computer lab with elementary students and really needed a stool that would provide active sitting as well as let me be mobile to work with students in various spots in my room. This stool is perfect! It was VERY easy to put together (and that is not my forte). It is comfortable to sit on and really helps with an acute injury I sustained to my back. The adjustments up and down make it nice for me when I have a chance to work at my desk. I use it all the time! I am VERY happy with my purchase and am considering purchasing another one for my office.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Proceed with extreme caution I purchased this chair for my workstation. It is possible to sit with your core engaged if you are consciously thinking about it, but that has not been my experience - because it does not have a firm back I am more hunched over than in a typical chair. I am extremely fit - distance runner, cyclist, etc. Nonetheless, after a few weeks I developed persistent, low-grade lower-back pain (which I had never had before) and it contributed to an overall weakness in my hips that has now resulted in a nasty hip flexor strain. My excellent sports DPT attributed some of the cause to the chair and recommends firm-back chairs only. I would actively dissuade anyone from purchasing this chair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great just short Love this seat better than the full exercise ball chair but wish it was able to extend higher. It sits a little low at its tallest.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I had to return this item. As I was using this in my basement, it always felt cold. Also it does not go as high as the specifications say. I was hoping to use it at my office desk and then wheel over to my drafting table. Because of these things, I had to return the item. To send it back cost a quarter of what I paid for the item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for home I'm a knitter and a quilter. If I'm not careful, I can not have good posture. This stool is great for my posture - and easy to work with my hands while sitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simple and helpful I've been searching for a desk chair that will encourage me to sit upright when on my computer and won't take up much space in a small room. Exercise ball is too low and bulky. This stool is great! Adjusts just high enough, keeps me upright, rolls easily on carpet, even stores under the desk. I had to work a bit to put it together (I'm not mechanically inclined), but all that was needed was included and I did figure it out. Note: you push the castors/wheels straight in even though it feels like that won't work. I highly recommend the stool. A softer color would be nice, though.
