I do have two mats in here which fit but it is tight. The black material collects a lot of dirt and link which is my fault. I didn't realize how dirty this fabric gets.

The color was even better in person and it fit my mat perfectly!

A gift for my wife. The bag is nice but not as roomy as hoped. Well constructed and good quality materials.

It has great pockets space! It's such a lovely color. An ideal bag for a small/thin yoga mat.

I've used it for a couple of weeks now. It doesn't take up as much space as I thought it would in my car... very compact, lightweight, and convenient. The pockets on the sides come in handy. I'm able to store everything I need for my yoga and hot yoga classes.

I got this as a gift for Christmas and was very excited hoping I could store multiple things with my mat. It is a struggle to get the mat inside and the cargo pocket is not expandable. I could have just gone with a strap instead of a large and difficult bag.

I bought this mat because it's a 15 minute walk to the yoga studio, and I wanted something to carry my mat in to protect it from potential snow or rain. I think this bag would be better with a smaller, less thick mat (I have the ultra thick jade yoga mat), because I have to spend some time struggling with making sure it is rolled up tightly enough to wrestle the zipper over the top. If you also have a an extra thick mat (or extra long) I would not advise this bag. Something with a drawstring might be easier to navigate. That said, there is nothing inherently wrong with this bag, and the teal color is pretty. I'm only saying not recommended because it doesn't work great (though does work) with the mat I have.

Great bag. Very practical. The two pockets work well. One will hold both my wallet and smart phone while the other holds various other small items. The colors are bold and contrast is good yet it is a not a "frilly" looking bag. It functions as a container for my jeans and other outer clothing when I am actually practicing because many studios have no locker. When I roll the mat tightly enough there is room inside this bag for my wallet and small towel. I am very glad I got this.

This bag is just what I was looking for, and fits my mat perfectly. I see previous comments about the outside pocket(s)--apparently the product description has been updated, because I got just what I expected, and it works great. (Disclaimer--I carry a small purse so I don't really need the pockets anyway, and my small yoga towel fits inside with the mat.) I walk to yoga class, so having a shoulder bag like this is super convenient.

Pocket very snug/useless. I do like the GAIAM line, however, in this particular product, you're off the mark! I like the concept of the cargo mat bag but the expandable pocket which is the reason I purchased the bag to lessen the need for additional hand held items is snug as a bug against the bag. I figured I'd store water bottle, your no slip yoga socks/gloves in this pocket. Nope! Also the way your product advertisement reads I figured there was an additional phone/MP3 player pocket.. wrong again. Very disappointed and too much of a bother to return. Ugh.. Disappointed.

Maybe it's my fault for not examining the product photos more carefully, but it seemed that all of the Cargo Mat Bags were the same in construction, with different color schemes/designs. I was disappointed to see that the "expandable exterior pocket" is clearly not expandable at all, and when your mat is zipped into the bag, clearly will not be able to hold much at all. It definitely will not hold a water bottle or standard size hand towel - both of which you'd be better off trying to stuff into the empty middle area of your rolled up mat. It seems like maybe this bag used to have an expandable outside pocket (?), which is still listed on the packaging and displayed on the photo on the packaging (see photo). But there is definitely no "bottom" of the pocket, suggesting an expandable compartment. Rather a piece of fabric is sewn flush to the main compartment with a velcro closure. One way or the other, the description (photo or written) does not match the current product. Still trying to decide whether I will keep this bag or send it back and look for something else.
