Great Texas Rig Hook

I ran out of EWG hooks and needed to resupply so I hadn’t use the offset shank worm hook before but thought I’d give it a try. Used it on a Texas rig and I’d Sy I had more bass caught with that hook than on the worm hook I had been using. This has become my only EWG hook since that day.

They Worked Great Until They Didn’t

These hooks were perfect when I first started using them but they quickly became less and less effective. The color faded quickly and the barbs were deteriorating on them after a single catch or two of even small baby bass. I lost a few because of this, one bass even snapped my hook right in half mid way through me setting the hook and halfway getting him to shore.
