Great Tech In A Small Package!!

Over 40k pre-loaded courses and no subscription fees. The launch monitor is awesome. Just put it on the ground with no calibration or lengthy set up and in seconds you get swing speed, smash factor, ball speed, tempo and carry /roll distances. Can play virtual rounds at the preloaded courses!

All Features Are Better Than My G8

Software And Connections Are Difficult. Way Overengineered

I spent several days trying to connect to my phone. You have to install a Garmin Connect App as well as the golf app. There is just too much stuff on this to make it usable for what you want: Real Distance on the Golf Course and getting metrics on the range (not real accurate) compared to items designed for this. After an hour with the support team it was finally determined there was some bug in the bluetooth of the G80. They wanted me to ship it back to them and I'd get a refurbished one.

Overpriced Course Gps

The options for this unit sounded good. Looked at a few reviews and thought I would give it a try. Well I did and unfortunately chose to use it with my golf coach who was also disappointed with it's performance. This units readings are not accurate and not close to accurate either with differences sometimes over 50 yards. After already owning the S10 which is probably also overpriced with its 8 bit graphics I found no need for this unit. Disappointed is probably a over statement. I really think shame on your Garmin this was a good theory but better products could have been brought to the market.

bought this took it to the range took my lazer lined up with all of the flags to make sure I was dead on my distances and I have to say this thing is as accurate as it gets when I hit club to the 150 flag it read around 150 but give me specific numbers I was a little disappointed with my driver distance but it didn't lie because I hit right where the flag was calling it will my lazer so this definitely worth the money plus it give me swing speed ball speed which is definitely an eye opener to all who say it's doesn't work u have to hit the ball solid to get a true reading if it's off u might wanna rethink your swing

Garmin G80 Approach Gps Device

I love this GPS unit. I played 3 rounds on a single charge and probably could have gone 4. It charges quickly. You've got the display for the course you're playing within 1 minute. Love moving the flag with my finger on the large green display. Yardages to all targets on the full hole display. Yardages from the tee box to the 250, 200, 150 and 100 yard markers to the green. Great device, I highly recommend it!

Good Information

I wasn’t sure if I really needed to purchase this launch monitor. But I’m glad I did. It gives me extra information that I can’t see with my eyes on the range. And the GPS comes in handy on the golf course.

Expensive But Worth It

If wearing a GPS watch isn’t comfortable than this is your best alternative + a launch monitor. I recommend it for anyone with a handicap of 8 or higher.

Had A Watch Like This Better

I had a Garmin golf watch that stopped working and bought rhis instead of replacing the watch which I loved. I got this instead for the swing speed feature. It seems to work well, but have not used it much yet. The only thing that is missing that I liked is the odometer, but the other available features more than makes up for it. Great product if it lasts a few years.

Totally Over Engineered

I have the Garmin G6 and have for years. Decided to treat myself and upgrade to the superstar of GPS. Well, don’t bother. User interface has gone backwards, not intuitive at all And how about this. You can not look at any previous rounds unless you have your phone with you. Don’t waste your time. I took mine back. Also the yardages were off by anywhere from 5-13 yards.

Played 3 rounds with it so far and the gps seems right on. Scorecard is easy to use. The launch monitor is easy to use, but I haven't used it enough to see how accurate it is. A lot of nice features.

Saved Us During Social Distancing

We purchased this so we could practice during the stay at home orders. The shot monitor is great for the price. The yardages are close to what you would expect and it was so much fun to play virtual rounds.
