Upgrade
An upgrade from a Garmin S20, easy to use, great display, tracks steps and mileage, keeps score the HOLE nine yards. Garmin makes this golf watch almost as much fun as the game itself. Love it!

Easy To Use And Great Features.
I upgraded from the approach 12 to the S50. I used my S50 for the first time. It is easy to use and very accurate. One of the best features is that very shot distance is measured automatically. Moving the pin on the green and checking the distance to a bunker or dog leg is easily done on the touch screen.

Approach S50
Purchased as replacement for S60 which died after 8+ years. Like the thinner body & Velcro band. Still getting used to commands, but for most part easy to adapt. S50 also collects additional health data which is useful.

Great Upgrade From The S42 Watch.
I just started using the S50 this week. Two rounds in. I use the CT10 shot trackers as well. With the plays like feature and movable pin feature I hardly need to go to my range finder. Loving it so far.

Great Watch For On The Course!
I'm happy with the watch on the golf course and as a health tracker. However, I do wish that it had more features for golf training. You'd think a golf watch would have a tempo trainer and keep up with swings in a practice session!

Great Features
The watch meets all my expectations. Great battery life. Also got the Garmin Golf app. I can now select shot position and get green contours on my watch. Like the full hole layout on the watch for hazards and doglegs. Very happy with it so far.

Great Features For The Price
I bought this a couple weeks ago and I like all the features. I used to have a Apple Watch and a Garmin S20 for golf. Now I have all or most of the features I had with the Apple Watch and I don't have to swap it out for golf. The Golf features are easy to use and the Garmin golf App is a nice feature to review your round.

Disappointment With The Garmin Approach S50
I hesitated for some time before purchasing the Approach S70, but ultimately decided against it because it seemed to have too many features and was too expensive. Instead, I chose the S50, which I believed offered simpler functionality at a more reasonable price. However, when I took the S50 out for my first round of golf, I found that the course view was not displayed on the screen. After returning home and checking further, I discovered that I would need to pay additional fees and subscribe to a membership in order to access the golf course view. When I was considering the S70, I was informed that all course views were preloaded, so I naturally assumed the same would be true for the S50. While it is partly my responsibility for not reading the specifications more carefully, the product images clearly show a vivid course view on the display. Based on those images alone, I reasonably expected that the course view would be available. Learning that I must pay a monthly subscription fee just to see the course view leaves me at a loss for words. If I pay the membership fee for about three years, the total cost becomes equivalent to the price of the S70. I find this to be a very underhanded marketing practice. There are many products on the market that are cheaper than the S50 and still provide course view functionality without additional charges. Because I do not wish to pay even a single additional dollar for what I consider to be such an unfair business practice, I have decided to stop using the S50 altogether. This is my review of Garmin products.
