Poor Quality

Most reviews are based on initial experience. I’ve had the watch for over a year so let me share my experience. It started out pretty good, took some time to set up clubs, sensors and settings (yes I bought the ct10 sensors too). The watch has a nice display and has good smart watch and fitness features (which it should at its price point). My issues began with the watch not pairing with the connect app, golf app and my phone. It kept disconnecting and took forever to pair up which became very frustrating. Next the watch stopped recognizing my sensors so it would track the entire round but not indicate what club was used for each shot so I had to manually go back and edit every single shot. One day my rangefinder was stolen off my cart so I decided to get the Garmin z30. Initially it didn’t pair because you have to add it as an accessory to the watch (something Garmin doesn’t tell you). Once I added it everything was good for a while. It updated the pin location on my watch after it was lasered. Then it just stopped working and stopped connecting no matter how many times I reset it, reset the watch, paired and repaired it. The Bluetooth is just not good, it’s slow and is constantly losing connection. So now I have 3 Garmin products that are supposed to all work together and none of them do. They still work individually but I was done spending money and was going to use them as is. Until my watched stopped connecting entirely and would not pair back with my phone at all making it utterly useless. I was on multiple calls with Garmin “support” only to be told my watch is no good and is also out of warranty. For $200 they said they will send me a REFURBISHED replacement. This is after about 18 months of use (the warranty is 12 months). Honestly I expect better service and a better warranty for a $700 watch. Not to mention the app and post round views and editing are not good. The graphics are very cartoony and the edits don’t always work or even when they do and you add/remove shots it doesn’t change your score! You are better off with a ShotScope Watch that gives you free sensors, works just as well and is a fraction of the price. Gar-min is Gar-bage.

Difficult To Understand How To Use

I am still trying to figure out how to use this watch. When I workout the watch alerts that my heart rate is high. Needs a better set of instructions.

Great Upgrade

I have had the S70 for about 3 weeks now and it is great. Upgraded from the S62. Battery life is a game changer, the graphics are clearer, and the function are wonderful. If you are on the fence about buying it, don't wait.

Great Watch

I have owned this new version for about four weeks and I absolutely love it. I had the older 62 model and appreciate the extra battery and display resolution. This is now my favorite everyday watch. -Sam

There's Things I Liked Better About The S62

I've had the S62 for the past couple of years. There's things that I like about the S70, for sure. But I really don't like the one feature about the S70 (I think the S62 was better). When I've completed a hole, the S62 had you enter the number of strokes, number of putts, and number of penalty strokes. The S70 has added another screen to indicate if I'd hit the fairway or missed to the left or right. I don't like this extra screen on the S70. I own the CT10 sensors so I already get this information logged automatically. This seems like a waste of time to have to enter this information each time I've finished a hole. If there's a way to disable this screen then I'd be all over that.
