Mobile ball washer
This is more than just a range finder , it is a gps scorecard and contour data

Been using it for awhile now and it offers some great features. To maximize some of the features I guess you have to purchase the garmin connect membership to get green reading on it. For the price, I think it should be offered free for a 12 month trial at least. I would rate it higher, but it sucks not to have magnetic capability which makes the risk of leaving/misplacing it . That's really a shame when cheaper brands have this basic capability. The carrying case isn't user friendly. It kind of reminds me of my canteen cover from when I was in the Army. I think a simple rubber cover (which I bought aftermarket), would have been safice. I still had to buy it to go along with all my other Garmin gadgets (R10, S62, Z82, S80), but this is my honest review.

Wish battery lasted longer. The lens is not very clear. Can’t use to see if ball on green etc. great data info yardage to hazards.

The range finder is amazing in most aspects. The frustrating part is its inability to connect with the G82 or an S70. This should be clearly shown for its independence, so I would not buy it for intent of using alongside other Garmin Golf products. I have the app and subscription, but this is a feature that would make it more seamless for my golf experience on the course.

I have had Garmin Golf watches for years (S70 now) so I had high hopes for the Approach Z82. 1. It was hard to connect to Garmin Connect (figured it our on day 2), and even when connected, nothing seemed to connect - for example, a YouTuber said that once connected, and after using the Z82 to determine the yardage to the pin, the pin location would show on the S70 watch (instead of being in the center of the green). Didn't happen, ever. Even worse, it's just a pain to use as a mere rangefinder. You have to turn it on and then it cycles through a copyright notice, etc. And then you have to select the mode (play golf, vs just shooting flags on the range). And then it is slow - you lift it to shoot the flag and the screen cycles from dark to light, but even with the proper illumination of the screen, it is a low-resolution screen which looks murky. And finally, several times the distance measured was incorrect.

I love all the features and functions of Z 82. The graphics are awesome coupled with the wind direction feature. Ultimately helped improve my game as it highlights all the features of any specific hole. They added benefit of the extended battery which allows me to get multiple rounds out of one charge is also a win-win.
Absolutely love this thing on the course gives you exact numbers for everything you need as well as when you use it for an actual rangefinder outside the course the zoom is impeccable and I really like the way the AI works when you used.

It's a great rangefinder but what separates the Z82 is clarity, pre-loaded courses, and the best feature is the find my rangefinder

There is not better rangefinder on the market. The Z82 does it all and its a cheat code when you and your buddies play a new course. My only complaint is that it's not magnetic and I am hoping that Garmin improves the digital display so that I can see golf balls on the green from far away. A super clear telescopic lens would put it over the top. The new green reading subscription is nice but should included on Garmin's high-end devices.

It's got so so much. Love range funding. A hole map for every course I've been to showing me... you are here. Many many features to be learned.
Love to play golf
I purchased the rangefinder to work on club distance control especially on the Practice Range. I would like the Z82 to connect with my S62 watch along with my smartphone
